Welcome to the Blender Studio Artist Residency! Stay in the beautiful Blender Loft with private amenities, a writer’s/creative desk, and a self-contained art studio. You’ll join a vibrant creative community, with access to galleries, on-site cafe, shared spaces, and 15 resident artists (not live in). Enjoy comfort, inspiration, and collaboration in a one-of-a-kind space at the heart of Melbourne’s art scene.
The space
The Blender Loft is a unique private studio within the 500 sq.m Blender Studios art complex. Your space includes a loft bed, desk, and a private bathroom just a few steps down the hallway. There is only one guest room, making this a truly exclusive stay. By day, the studios are alive with artists at work; by night, you’ll have the space entirely to yourself. Enjoy access to a large communal kitchen, a sunny balcony, and a courtyard at the back of the space—perfect for relaxing or connecting with the creative community.
there is also a cafe at the studios which open most day so you can come down and sip a cup of coffee next to the fireplace.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire space. The bedroom is fully private and secured with its own key. The bathroom and shower are also private and for your exclusive use, located just outside the bedroom.
A communal kitchen area is available outside the room, featuring a large refrigerator. Please note there is no cooktop; however, we provide an air fryer, microwave, and kettles.
The building spans approximately 550 sqm and includes art studios and a gallery. There is also a café onsite. The room is located at the far end of the building, ensuring a quiet and peaceful stay.
During your stay
there might be a lot of artists around the building you are welcome to come and sit with us at our communal space at any time. or you are welcome to roam around however you please, there are so many areas in the building - at night, you will be the only person staying here.

If you prefer to work quietly or do your own thing, there’s plenty of room in the building to find your own space. Before confirming your stay, we’ll ask why would you like to stay with us.
