Great place to stay. Lovely pool and common areas but somewhat uncomfortable beds. The home definitely had some character, ask Eric to tell you what it was like during Katrina, he's a great host!

Beautiful historic home very convenient to shopping, restaurants, and attractions. We loved our stay!

Be aware , photo's do not reflect current conditions. Pool needs a major cleaning basically unusable during our stay. Furniture and some fixtures need replaced as well as the doors and windows. Bugs and mold were prevalent in some parts of the house. This could be a great place with its size and location but in its current state the value is not there.

Response from Eric:
Robert, So sorry you experienced any issues with our home during your stay, and most importantly didn't communicate any while here..except wanting early check in and corresponding multiple times leading up to stay. Our 1906 restored home does have original doors and windows yes, but during Tropical Storm season and repeated flooding for two weeks, indeed it is hard to control pool clarity and prevalent humidity issues in the City, and house..

Great home with plenty of room for all! Bachelorette party loved the pool, the kitchen was big enough for all, showers and hot water weren't a problem. A peacock hung out in the front yard. Enough seating for everyone.

The pool was definitely the best part! What a great way to beat the heat!

Eric is a great host and his house was perfect for a family get away that was outside of the city. The house's pictures and description are exactly as we found the house. The group enjoyed spending time at the pool, relaxing in the large living room/dining area, everyone had their own room and were pleasantly surprised to find a lime tree right out front. I would recommend this house to anyone who would like a quiet house which is a short drive/trolly trip into the city.

Stayed here with 9 girls for 3 nights during a bachelorette party. There was plenty of room for all of us,and the 2.5 baths was a huge plus when getting ready. The house is very clean and has all the necessities. The living and dining rooms are huge, and we found ourselves gathering around the kitchen island a lot. We also made use of the pool. Local friends thought our location was "far out" but to a group of mostly NYC people in a small city, everything seemed close by to us. Uber always came in less than 5 minutes, and it never took more than 15 to get anywhere. The streetcar was nearby, although we didn't get a chance to ride it. There's also grocery options within walking distance. Check out Jacques-imos, a delicious local restaurant. The driveway was convenient for the SUV we rented, and saved us time and money also. During the day we were able to park in French quarter garages for under $10, if you do your research before hand.
