Welcome to your peaceful boutique hideaway in Mangawhai Heads.
Set in a gated community surrounded by native trees, Black Swan Studio offers modern simplicity, natural materials, and generous outdoor space for morning coffee, evening wine, or firing up the BBQ. Enjoy bush walks, the lake, and tennis courts — all just five minutes from Mangawhai Heads village, beaches, markets, and the golf course. The hosts also live on site in their own home, available if needed while respecting your privacy.
The space
Black Swan Studio is situated close to our home on our private property of 1.3 hectares inc bush and stream. The studio is self-contained with its own entrance, car park, deck, courtyard, and lawn. We share our home with our small, friendly dog Lulu. We’re nearby if you need anything, while still very mindful of your privacy, so you can fully relax and feel at home. You’re welcome to explore the bush areas or enjoy the private stream and kayak during your stay.
Guest access
Guests have full access to the studio and all outdoor areas connected to it, including the deck, courtyard, lawn, and hanging egg chair. You’ll also have a dedicated parking space on the shared driveway. Walking paths, and the private stream are available to enjoy. Laundry facilities are located in a separate building and can be used on request.
