The space

7 minutes walk from Mount Herzl and the main tram line is our private house surrounded by a beautiful garden.
This is one of 3 bedrooms, a dinning/ cooking area, 2 bathrooms and a living room with cable TV, lots of books and games and wireless internet. This is the smallest room and has 2 separate (URL HIDDEN) of the beds open to a double bed, but then the room has only little space left. One bathroom has a shower, the other a bathtub. There is no washing-machine on your floor, but I can run your laundry in our machine.
You have all you need to prepare light meals: Frigidaire, electric cooker, microwave, electric kettle, toaster-oven, plates, cups, cutlery, spices, olive oil and of course coffee and a choice of teas. As this is a cooking area and not a real kitchen, please do not deep fry.
In the garden you'll find relaxing sitting areas, a grill for barbecue, games, hummocks and a small pool - (only in the summer) ideal to cool down after a day of touring.
Our house is easily reachable by the central tram line, which brings you quickly to most of Jerusalem's attractions. If you come by car you can park in front of our house. A grocery is a 5 minute walk away, a local shopping area you reach with 15 minutes walk trough a typical old neighborhood of Jerusalem with old gardens and trees. 5 minute car drive brings you to the picturesque Ein Kerem, nestled in the valley beyond our house with a mixture of famous and beautiful churches, monasteries, synagogues and stone paved paths along old stone houses with beautiful gardens. It is also a venue for classical music concerts and has restaurants known for al fresco dining. A 10 minute bus drive brings you to Hadassa Hospital with the famous Chagall Windows in the Synagoge. Yad V'Shem is a 15 minute walk away.
You can park freely in front of the house.

House Rules

If you rent just one or two of the rooms please be aware that you have to share the common area with potential other guests. We ask our guests not to smoke inside the bedrooms. We would prefer if you do not smoke inside at all but if it is to difficult for you please open the windows to air. Eventually our children might sleep in other rooms on the same floor, but they live out of town. This means most of the time the whole area is for our guests/ We clean once a week, so please in between take care of the place as if your home. If you need the vacuum cleaner tell us.

Very friendly, easy going and open minded host. Made me feel home on the first second. Would stay there anytime again. Perfect location if you have to go to Hadassah for work/study.

It is a nice room on a quiet location. You have enough room for yourself when you stay there. Ruth is a very kind person and she and her husband showed great hospitality. We were in her house with Pesach and she helped us out a lot with getting food, what restaurants were open and how to get away.

I stayed one month in Ruth house. She and her husband are very welcoming and very sympathetic. It was the first time I came in Israel and them help was precious about many subject (transport, supermarket, etc.). The room is very nice, and also the others parts (common bathroom, kitchen and livingroom). The point of view from the kitchen is really beautiful... The situation of the house was very usefull for me because of the direct line of bus for the university (Givat Ram campus). The tram sation to go to the ancient town for example is also not far. I past a very pleasant month and be very happy to meet these very nice and friendly people. If I need to come back I hope I can return in their home.

Ruth’s place is very quiet and lovely. The spacious rooms are clean and cosy. The small kitchen contains all you need for preparing simple meals. There is a direct bus line to the National Library and also the Light Rail is not far away. Ruth and Arie were very friendly and helpful hosts. It was a pleasure to stay there.

We are a couple in the early 60, two of our children are students, one just finished physiotherapy. They live outside Jerusalem, but come often for Fridayevening family meals. My husband still works for the goverment in the field of traffic and statistics. I am a family-therapist and have my clinic in the house.
