Lot of space for your clothes, Very practical for the tube, bar and food. The street look little bit dodgy first but was completely fine in the end. I did enjoy the location as im going for work and was perfect . Tea was really sweet and tried her best.

Although it was a freak incident, we felt quite unfortunate to have a nightmare of a start at this place, and therefore our opinion is going to be influenced by those events. Firstly, there were some complications and delays with the check-in process, and then later that night, my wife got locked into the bathroom, even though she did not lock the sliding door from the inside. Apparently, it was all caused due to faulty sliding door lock/latch, but you can imagine the agony of being locked in a bathroom without any ventilation for over an hour, in a foreign country, at 11:15 pm when you don't even speak the language, one the very first night! Fortunately for us, we were able to call the host's contact and she received our call, and then promptly sent someone who had brought the right tools to pry open the lock to let her out. I can only imagine our horror if she hadn't picked up my call so late in the night, or he hadn't got the right tools with him - we wouldn't know what to do. But I'm so glad that it didn't ruin our trip and we had the hosts come to our rescue even at that late an hour. Besides this scary incident, we felt this apartment, for the most part, got the job done. There are few things that I wish that could have been better. We hated the fact that although it wasn't a fold out bed, which was one of the primary reasons for choosing this apartment, the bed frame was flimsy and there were two single mattresses on it, which made sleeping very uncomfortable for a couple. During the course of the night, one of us ended up sleeping in the gap caused by the separation of the two mattresses, which was very annoying. The wash basin was very awkwardly placed quiet small. And the water in the shower would jump from cold to scathing hot immediately, which can be quite scary if it were to be used by a child. Lastly, although we felt that the area in general, was quite central and walkable to most touristy places, it felt quite shady, especially in the night due to the sex shops and homeless street dwellers at night.

The apartment is located very close to the chatelet metro station, which makes it very convenient to go from/to CDG airport in metro in just 30 minutes. Our experience was OK. There is a whole community of homeless people living just close the door of the apartment during night, which is kind of scary, but they seem to be friendly. The building is very old, the stairs and the elevator are tiny. If you have a lot of luggage, the check-in/check-out may become quiet uncomfortable. The communication with the host was perfect, they waited for us until 10 PM at night. There is a fee for late check-in of 50 euros, which I find quiet expensive. However, the rules were clear from the beginning, so cannot complain. If you want to be in Paris, in a convenient area, at a few blocks of Louvre, 45 minutes walk from Eiffel tower, and 10 minutes from Notre Dame, I would definitely go for it.
