Spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bath urban oasis close to everything in central Cape Town with patio deck, Weber grill and treehouse roof deck. Located at the edge of the historic Bo Kaap neighborhood, enjoy a stunning view of Table Mountain and Signal Hill in an authentic residential area a short walk to restaurants, nightlife, shops and attractions. Suitable for families, groups of friends or long-term business visitors, yet overflowing with authentic Cape Town character.
The property is full of character and features 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom is spacious and includes a Queen sized bed and en suite with shower. Two smaller bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with two single/twin beds - are directly across from the master. The fourth bedroom with Queen sized bed is at the rear of the house, with French doors leading from the living room and onto patio deck. All beds are equipped with comfy new Sealy Posturepedic pillow top mattresses.
The main bathroom is a few stairs down from the kitchen and features both shower and soaker tub.
Outside, enjoy the private, shaded patio; have an outdoor shower after the beach; or follow the ladder up the fig tree to the treehouse roof deck with views of Table Mountain and the Cape Town "City Bowl".
Guests may check in anytime after 3pm on the date of arrival. Guests who would like to arrive earlier will need to book the previous night as housekeeping needs the full day to ensure the house is fresh and clean.
Guests have full access to the whole house including cupboards, all bedrooms, kitchen, washing machine, dryer, the patio, braai/grill/BBQ and the treehouse deck.
Interaction with guests
If we're in Cape Town Jonathan or Andrew will personally greet you and make sure you're settled in. If we happen to be elsewhere at the time, you'll be greeted and settled in by one of our friendly friends or associates. We'll always be a phone call, email or text away should the need arise, but we'll otherwise let you have the space and time to yourself: we want this to be your oasis.
Other things to note
As is standard in South Africa, we have an ADT alarm system which should be activated whenever leaving the house. Instructions will be provided at check in and are included in the house guide.
Parking is readily available - for free - right in front of the house on the street. Please just observe security advice provided in the house manual.
Smoking is not permitted indoors but is fine outside on the deck (ashtray provided).
For safety, ensure exterior windows are closed overnight and when not at the house. Curtains and shutters should also be kept closed during these times.
We ask guests to keep noise to a minimum in the back patio, especially after 8pm on weeknights and 10pm on weekends.
For safety reasons children, alcohol and glassware shouldn't be taken on the treehouse deck.
We provide two sets of house keys at check-in. Please take care to safeguard the keys. Copying additional sets of keys is not permitted, and lost keys will incur a R1,000 replacement fee.

We're an American from Chicago (Jonathan) and a British-South African born in Cape Town (Andrew) living and working in Johannesburg while keeping a dreamy foothold in the Mother City.
We're both seasoned Airbnb users and Jonathan is a veteran Airbnb host (with a Chicago property). We love traveling and hope we can help other people discover and enjoy Cape Town - Africa's oasis - as much as we do!
