Gerald was a kind and gracious host! He is very warm and welcoming, and even had freshly baked cookies when we arrived. We stayed in a lovely room that was very large and clean. His house is a quick walk over to a cute area with restaurants and shops. In the morning, Gerald prepared a wonderful breakfast with lots of options and the best banana bread I've ever had. Would definitely recommend Gerald's house!

Jerry's home is beautiful and charming. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was big, clean, and comfortable. Jerry's home is well situated in that it's an easy walk to lovely restaurants, cafes and beautiful creekside strolls and a quick car ride to the historic Stockade district. Jerry was hospitable and friendly and made our stay very comfortable. We were blown away by the breakfast he made for us. My favorites were the stuffed french toast and quiche. We will definitely be back!

This was my first experience with Airbnb and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Gerry is a thoughtful and accomplished host. He wowed me with my personalized breakfasts both mornings. Menus included spinach quiche, homemade cinnamon rolls, bacon, fresh fruit salad, strawberry stuffed french toast, and perfect coffee. His conversation was always interesting and lively. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The marble shower was a nice touch. His reviews were what made me choose this property and they were all true! Lovely experience!

Jerry is a super host - and a great cook. I went up to Kingston to celebrate birthday. Upon welcoming us, Jerry asked if we're allergic to anything like nuts or chocolate. Then he baked an amazingly delicious cake for us the next morning, served with his signature garden quiche, mint melon salad and more! His house is well decorated and clean. We were out and about, didn't see other guests except for breakfast, so it felt nice and private. Will definitely come back again!

Jerry, his staff and the house were all terrific. Our warm stay started with a welcome from his sunny porch and continued through the quick tour of his spacious victorian home. The attention to detail was well appreciated including the bedroom ready to go with towels and a chocolate through the hearty breakfast the next morning including gourmet eggs, meats and fresh made banana bread cake. With coffee always at the ready, we couldn't ask for more from our stay. Big thanks for everything Jerry! - Ron and Jen

It was a blast to stay with Gerald! The house and gardens were impeccably kept and were located right near the waterfront and a cute restaurant district. My boyfriend and I were in Kingston to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and Gerald made us an incredible breakfast including a birthday cake! He went over and above all expectations. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Jerry is amazing! My friend and I loved staying at his enchanting home. He went above and beyond what I expected from an AirBnB host, giving us amazing breakfast, baking us a cake, and sharing with us his wonderful stories about Kingston and his own fascinating life. His garden and home is beautiful, and playing his Steinway just made it even more incredible. We had such a great time- we didn't even see the city or go to the Omega Institute as we had planned - my friend and I just had a great relaxing time on Jerry's porch. Thank you!!! Can't wait to come back.

Gerald User ProfileGerald is a superhost.

I am an artist/ musician. I went back to school for a nursing degree and now I am working as a nurse to support my other vocations. I love my homes but the Kingston house 1874 has my garden which is a joy. Also Kingston has the cold winter which Is why it is important to have my Florida place. The neighborhood is full of beautiful colonial and Victorian homes. About three blocks to old Broadway which has nine restaurants and boutiques and antique stores. The river has day cruises on the Hudson and is just down the hill at the end of Broadway known locally as the Strand . Next to the cruise ship is a museum dedicated to water travel, across the street is our Trolley museum which seasonally has rides to the Hudson and our swim beach on the river. Kingston also has an old town with stockade and colonial Senate building. That part of town is known for its arcaded stores in historic neighborhood of early stone homes. The old Dutch church 1640 is in the old square. This part of Kingston has been recently updated and also has many fun shops and restaurants and bars.
