This one bedroom apartment sits at the top of a three story house, and features an expansive verdant backyard space, a fully stocked eat-in kitchen, a full bath with clawfoot tub, and an open living space with an expandable dining table, incredibly comfortable red loveseat, and a cozy corner sectional.
The large separate bedroom faces the front of the house, with a king sized pillow top platform bed, a four drawer dresser, and amazing morning light. Gauzy white curtains cover the bedroom windows to maximize both privacy and sunlight.
If needed, the red loveseat converts into a single pullout, allowing the apartment to easily sleep three people. For parties over three, special arrangements can be made with additional air mattresses; please submit an inquiry.
This house is very old, but extensive renovations were done in this unit in May 2016. There are a few things left to be wrapped up, though they shouldn't interfere with your stay! Should you encounter anything that needs attention, please don't hesitate to contact me immediately.
This listing is the top floor of a duplex apartment. You will be given a key to enter the duplex apartment, and a separate key for the door up to the third floor. In other words, accessing the entrance to the third floor is only semi-private, but once on the top floor, there is a lock for that door, and the space in the listing itself is therefore entirely private. There are two ways to get to the third floor:
--use the front door of the duplex apartment to then walk through the second floor living room and on upstairs
--use the back door to the apartment, in which case the stairs to the third floor are directly adjacent
Fully stocked kitchen has a microwave, Keurig machine, french press with Lavazza coffee, waffle maker, George Foreman tabletop grill, rice cooker, slow cooker/ crockpot, and stovetop cookware. Full sized juicer, rocket blender, slow cooker/ crockpot, and complete set of Calphalon cook and bakeware can be made available upon request. If you are missing anything, please just ask!
27" monitor with a ready-to-go HDMI hookup for laptops in the bedroom. Highspeed wireless internet with password throughout. Humongous leafy and shaded backyard with grill very enjoyable during warm weather.
Interaction with guests
I am known for being constantly available to my guests during their stays by Airbnb message, text, email, or phone call, so please don't hesitate to reach out with any issues or questions, no matter how small!
Please treat the space as though it were your own, and try to leave it as tidy and clean as possible :)
Try to conserve electricity if you can - it's an old house and I'd hate for you to have to deal with the breaker box! In particular, the AC units and heaters must be switched off whenever you leave the house.
Unfortunately, given recent mishaps, if upon checking out an AC unit or heater or an excess of lights are left on, a $50 fee will be imposed through the Airbnb resolutions tool for each infraction, per day.
