Private room in house with large garden, with proper rich breakfast and use of kichen, right in the middle of the medieval village of Montebruno, on the banks of River Trebbia, inside the natural reserve of Parco dell'Antola, and about 1 hour drive from Genoa, Montebruno is tiny but full of life and shops, and there's also a good pizzeria / restaurant. If you love colours, quietness and a relaxed homely atmosphere (and cats, for I have one big white cat!) this is the place for you.
I do my best for guests to feel at home here, not just stopping for a bed. Happy to provide all informations about surroundings and activities, from hiking to horse riding or fishing. I'm happy for guests to cook their own meals and have a good breakfast, with choice of tea, coffee, milk, cookies, fresh fruit, yoghurt, muesli, homemade cakes and jams and local bread.
You can access every space of the house except the living room and the garden during night time, 'cause I sleep there on the sofa bed.
Interaction with guests
You will find flyers and informations about the area in your room, but I'm more than happy to give you hints about the Antola Park area and Genova, and make / share drinks and dinner together if you fancy some italian style home-made food.
Other things to note
Before any guest arrives all the house, and particularly the guests' room and the bathroom, are deeply cleaned with antibacterial detergents. Anyway, the house - as all the village - is old, so please consider that what might seems not spotless is simply worn by the time. That's definitely one of the things I like of living in a place with an history!
Parking for cars is free in free and safe in the public square 200mt away. But if you're travelling by bicycle or motorbike I have indoor and locked space easily accessible for you in the basement.
Breakfast is enclosed, please wash your dishes if you use the kitchen at any other time. No smoking in bedroom. Thank you!

Hello, I'm Monica, I'm 45, I live in Montebruno from September 2015, after 10 years in Genoa. My main job is being booking agent and doing promotion for music bands, I'm also a music blogger / journalists. I love music of course, especially rock'n'roll, garage, shoegaze, psych, but I listen to many different things! I love travelling, I've been travelling a lot for my job all over Europe, and I enjoy meeting new people. I've been living in London for 2 years too, and for a short time in Berlin. In summer 2015 and February 2016 I've been working in Iceland, at Lambhus Gisting (guesthouse in the South East) and Selfoss Hostel, at cleaning and reception. Making people happy with their travels is definitely something I love, as I love cooking, gardening, and any other form of creativity. My motto? "Let's try it? Not, let's do it!" :)
