Inside Yosemite Park, Wawona!, parks, great views. You’ll love my place because of the location and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).

The space

Arrow Lodge is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 Bath Bi-Level home that sleeps a maximum of 10 guests. Each floor has a fully equipped kitchen, living room with wood burning fireplace with free firewood, two bedrooms, bathroom, and TV. Enjoy a family BBQ on the wrap-around deck as deer stroll by, a championship game of Ping Pong, a puzzle by the fire, or snow tube in your own backyard! Floor-to-ceiling windows to watch the snow fall, while warm and cozy in front of a fire. Amenities include two multimedia centers, WIFI, Washer and Dryer, Dishwasher. Two half bathrooms with adjoining tub/shower upstairs. Full bathroom downstairs with Whirlpool air jetted Bathtub. Great cabin for a small family reunion or family gets together. Guests return to this home year after year; we hope you make it a tradition as well! Parking for 4 cars in the driveway during summer and 3 cars during winter months.

The first and second bedrooms are upstairs with a king bed in each. The third bedroom is located on the lower level and has a queen bed. And the fourth bedroom is also located on the lower level with two twins and one queen bed. Our home is located in the little community of Wawona, 6 miles INSIDE the south entrance of Yosemite National Park. It makes a wonderful home base while you explore and play in Yosemite. Depending on the season, there is always something special to enjoy! During the summer, you have the opportunity to relax in the Merced River & cascading waterfalls, enjoy a hike to nearby Chilnualna Falls, the Swinging Bridge, and the Meadow Loop Trail. Enjoy fine dining & play golf at the historic Wawona Hotel, go horseback riding, enjoy Ranger walks and talks, or visit the Living History Center. In the fall, the colors are spectacular as you enjoy the walking path around the golf course of the nearby historic Wawona Hotel. See the nearby famous Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. In the winter, the family-friendly Badger Pass Ski Area offers snowshoeing, snowboarding, skiing, cross-country ski tours, and in Yosemite Valley enjoy the outdoor ice skating rink. In the spring, the rivers and waterfalls throughout the Park, including nearby Chilnualna Falls, are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Come enjoy and relax in the welcoming atmosphere of our unique community.

The house is very family friendly. it is well-stocked, clean and nicely arranged for a large family or multi-family gathering. The only downside to the house is that it is in Wawona, which, although in Yosemite National Park, is still an hour drive from the Valley, 45 mins from Glacier Point Rd and 1.5 hours plus from the "Tulomne" portion of the Park. This is a reflection of the size of the Park, not a criticism of the house. The Park is so crowded between Memorial and Labor Days that this meant we needed to leave by 8-8:30 in order to be sure of finding a parking space for Valley or Glacier Road trail hikes.

The Birdhouse property has been in our family since the 1920's, in the 80's my father and I decided it was time to build a home (we were both contractors). It took some time but we finally finished with our custom family cabin. It has brought joy to our family for 2 generations…
