Hello Amy, thank you for sharing your experience with us and the AirBnB community.
First, we're deeply sorry about the seagrass, which is a problem the whole Carribean coast is struggling with at the moment. We really wished you would have seen our beach and water as they usually are, pristine and clear. We have experienced those seagrass periods in the past, but they never last that long.
We are indeed away from the village, 9 miles north. Although a few guests might take our location as a negative point, most usually love the feeling of 'away from it all' it provides. You're also right when you say the dirt road to reach the village can be a bit bumpy and rough during some periods, specially after a rainy period. The authorities do their best to maintain it, but you really have to be careful and take your time with the golf cart to avoid the holes and bumps. It usually takes 30 minutes to travel between the village and our place, but again, it all depends on the conditions of the road.
Some guests prefer to take our local water taxi service, which offers scenic views of the coast, and we now offer passes at the front desk for our guests.
Nevertheless Amy, we're really sorry you weren't 100% happy with your stay, and we hope we get the chance to host you again to make it up to you.
