Our peaceful B&B is situated on our rolling 40 hectare farm, which we run cattle on. We have forest on one boundary and a river on another. We have native bush, a swimming hole and 2 hectares of garden around the house. We are located only 3km off State Highway One and are in an unique location which highlights true New Zealand nature. So come and explore what we have to offer, while enjoying our friendly hospitality.
Riverview Farm is under new management, and is formally known as Glen Dendron.

The space

We have the most amazing setting, at the end of a no exit road. We have tracks for exploring, the river to swim in summer, while only being 3 km off the main road. We are close to Moeraki Boulders, and are 1 hour from Dunedin and 25 minutes from Oamaru.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to explore the property and garden, as well as checking out our cattle. Guests are also welcome to swim in the river in summer.

Interaction with guests

Guests are welcome to use our lounge and can interact whenever they want to! The B and B has a separate entrance and is in the upstairs part of our house. We live down the other end of the house, so will be available whenever!

Other things to note

We have free wi-fi.

Nice cosy place. Nature lovers will like the location as it is near to the countryside. The stay includes breakfast as well where the host cooks full hearty breakfast for us. The breakfast is cooked to order. Awesome!

I delayed the review after we finished all our journey around New Zealand. No doubt Kim's house is my favourite! Kim has a large house, our part is a distinguished part of the house, but we still got a convenient access to the other part. Room are clean and tidy, with great view for the garden. Kim is very hospitable and would love to share her kitchen and dining room with us. She also prepared nice breakfast for us. If you like animal, please order Kim's house for at least one night. She has a lovely dog named Meggy, and many cute sheep and calves. We even got a chance to see how she feed those adorable animals. That's a wonderful experience!

This place is truly gorgeous! We visited in autumn and the gardens were still stunning. If you want a quiet & serene stop to relax & rejuvenate, this is it. Rooms are upstairs and were clean, private & quiet. Breakfast was provided in the morning and they have two of the cutest cats we've ever seen. Tip: turn on the road to the campground and keep going; it's worth the drive. Near Moeraki Boulders and Oamaru.

Kim is a great host, we were pretty late on our date of arrival and unfortunate got lost in Forrest. Kim was extreme patient in guiding the way and her husband even came to pick us up - what a nice and timely surprise! In the morning of departure, Kim offered us a guided walk to her Farm to see the lovely bulls - my kids are so happy! It was definitely a great experience and worth recommendation.

Kim and her family were a joy getting to know. They made the stay very enjoyable. We were able to wash and dry our clothes, which wasn't as easy to do at other places. The rooms were very comfortable and she even remade our beds. Her garden is amazing and you should definitely take time to walk through it.
