Other things to note

// City
Lisbon's most impressive attraction is the city itself. It is a monument to the romance of the past, and an aesthetically seductive place that forces contemplation in every one of its hills.
Topped by an imposing castle, breathtaking viewpoints, and whitewashed monuments, each of those seven legendary hills has a different personality. They form an enigmatic, incredibly scenic, refreshingly authentic city with a unique essence and atmosphere that result in a highly-photogenic-yet-not-superficially-flashy European capital. You'll be in a constant state of serendipity, dazzled by its unconventional beauty and seduced by its infectious spirit. With a mild, mostly sunny climate, the days will seem to have more than 24 hours, making you move at a slower pace, fall in love with genuine and multifaceted neighborhoods, and become fascinated by an eclectic mix of sights and sounds.
Time-worn and disorderly yet also surprisingly cutting-edge, Lisbon keeps it real, a city where not everything is immediately apparent and that demands curious exploration.

// Legendary Tram 28
Electrico 28 (tram 28) is the vintage yellow tram that plies various routes in Lisbon. It goes through all over the city center, crossing many touristic attractions, while navigating along winding and very narrow streets to town up at sea level.
The tram is a hop-on, hop-off service and there are more than 30 stops you can choose from.
The starting point is in Praça Martim Moniz (1min from 'Canto do Fado', on foot) and the end is uptown in Campo de Ourique (Prazeres)
Along the route of tram 28 (electrico 28, in Portuguese), the attractions are picture-perfect. One of the best stops is nearby the six-century-old Castle of St. George. It’s located on one of the seven hills in the city and a huge part of the castle was destroyed by the Great Earthquake of 1755. However, the main structures were recovered and, these days, visitors can enjoy the magnificent castle, the views and many cultural activities that are promoted on its grounds.
From the castle, you can proceed to miradouro das Portas do Sol, a panoramic viewpoint where you can relax or enjoy the cocktail bar and a restaurant offering delicious coffee and light fare.

This legendary tram 28 is also a tourist attraction itself.

We had an amazing time in Lisboa! The apartment was clean, cosily decorated and perfectly located. It was only a stone's throw away from the most popular streets, so we could almost always walk to those places. Fred was always there for us, extremely friendly and helpful. He gave us great information about Lisboa and never hesitated to answer one of our thousand questions. Thanks for that! :)

We spent a great week at Canto do Fado. The flat was very nice, cosy and clean. It's located right in the center in a very quiet street, and you can get everywhere walking or by taking the metro/bus/tram (stations are super close). Fred was very friendly and gave us many recommendations. Communication was excellent. Very positive experience.

Fred was a fantastic host. He promptly answered any queries prior to our arrival. He was very flexible with our arrival time and was there waiting for us at the apartment when we made it in. The apartment looked just as good as the photos. Very clean and it had everything we needed. We had a lovely stay at Fred's place in Lisbon and would certainly look to stay there again when we return to this amazing city!

Great stay, perfect for couples. In a very traditional neighbourhood right next to a restaurant called Food Temple (great vegan restaurant). The apartment was clean and the English channel on cable TV was a plus. Fred met up with us at the metro station which is a minute away. Walking distance to many attractions and Chiado for shopping!
