The house is in a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l location in the village with an amazing landscape view to the lowlands, river and beach hills!
It is an independent house with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom, bathroom and a very nice terrace to see the sunset, take the breakfast or simply sunbath.

The space

Odeceixe is considered to be a paradise! Beach and countryside together with the typical village makes it one of the most searched for places in Portugal to spend holidays or to make a break from the city life. The beach is located only 3 km, very nice to go by bike, walk or take the summer train for only 1.50€. There is also a Naturist/nudism beach with good acess just next to the main Praia de Odeceixe. The main beach has the seaside with nice ocean waves were is possible to practice surf or bodyboard and also the riverside, more quite and ideal for children and for having a swim. The village is typical with all the white houses, the old church and the windmill.

Guest access

The house is completly independent so guests can be totally at ease. It can accommodate 4 or 5 persons but is also nice for just a couple or one person. Sheets and towels are included as well as everything needed to cook. The windows have double glasses so the silence is perfect although the place is already quite and peacefull. It as been the choice for artists to get away in the Winter and Spring to produce new work and in the summer the clients are almost the same: they come back every year! It is possible to park in the street easily.

Interaction with guests

The owners live in the same street, only a few houses away in nr. 10 and can provide support and information needed as well as keep the house cleaned frequently. They are my parents and they are accustomed with guest, for many years now.

Other things to note

This is a small village and the nearest cities are Lagos, Portimão and Odemira. The first two can provide many services (police, hospitals, train stations, buses, shopping, nightlife).
To shop food in a big supermarket and utilities can go to Aljezur that is 15 km away, 17 minutes driving by car.
The buses go from Odeceixe to Lagos 3/4 times a day. Sunday only one Expresso Bus that is coming from Lisbon to Lagos and stops at Odeceixe.
Please ask me for details and informations about your needs to come and go so I can provide you timetables, options and prices.

There are tours that you can take and routes like the Rota Vicentina. Horse ridding, water sports or just enjoying a glass of wine in the terrace - simple life waits for you!

Arriving in the house of Louisa was as a trip down memory lane to the time you had sleepovers at your grandma's place. Nice experience, beautiful views and perfect to relax. Odeceixe is certainly worth to visit, we had a wonderful time!

Me and my sister stayed at Luísas place for 3 nights and we had a really nice time! The house was on a hill, where we had a nice view. We had our own terrace where it was quit and peaceful. After some days in Lisbon this was the best way to relax and just feel good. You can walk to the beach (about 4km) and there are some restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. There are beaches around in the area which were amazing! We got some really nice tips from Luísa, who was very helpful during our stay. We are very pleasant with our stay at Luísas and if we come back in Portugal, we'll want to come back!

Beautiful house with terrace and garden. My children have truly loved to water the flowers. The house is big and in good condition. Furniture and kitchen might be a little dated, but you have everything you might need in the house. Luisa and her family are lovely and really helpful; always caring about whether we needed something. We had a lovely holiday.

As previously written by other guests you should not expect a luxury appartment and the equipment is rather old fashioned. But everything is working including warm water and we enjoyed the time, the calmness and the nice terrace with the amazing view into the Seixe valley. The house has its own specific character and you feel somehow living like in the 50ies or 60ies which makes you slowing down from today"s daily stress. Shortly: We enjoyed being in Luisas nice house very much. Thank you, Luisa!
