This little, cozy cabin on the lake has everything a traveler needs. We used it for a romantic get away, and it did not disappoint, but plenty of room for a family vacation. Beautiful views of the lake, especially during fall, and such a comfortable setup made for an amazing weekend. The hosts' were quick to respond to any question or inquiry and so helpful from booking to stay. Previous reviews had some things to say about the amenities but this cabin has Wi-Fi, Direct TV, and wonderful cell reception for both AT&T and Verizon. The morning views, with fog rolling off the lake, were breathtaking and the quiet nights were so peaceful. The cabin is so well furnished and feels like home, a place you would want to live. Thank you so much Tim and Vicki for letting us share your amazing home for the weekend!

This home well exceeded my expectations! The home is less than 10 years old and is very clean. There is also a row of bedrooms in a separate structure next to the house which is pretty cool! There's also a bar with a refrigerator in that building. We used the outdoor kitchen a couple of times and it had everything you could want when grilling up a big meal. The sunsets off the dock are absolutely stunning! Vicki was also readily available when needed and answered her phone each time I called. Both Tim and Vicki seem like very nice people with a big happy family. One tip for other renters though- this place is pretty remote though, so don't expect great, if any, cell phone service! We would love to come back here again sometime!

What a dream spot! The photos really do not do it justice. My boyfriend and I went for a long weekend getaway from Chicago and wanted to find a secluded cabin in the woods that was cozy, warm, and comfortable while being near to outdoor activities - this was exactly that! We went in the beginning of march so it has warmed up a bit which meant we missed out on the snowmobiling opportunity but we went hiking on the North County Trail which is just about 20 minutes up the road on Rte 27 - it was beautful and is the longest of the national scenic trails authorized by Congress in N. America. The house has all the pots, pans, cooking utensils, plateware and glassware that you will need. However be sure to bring your own consumables (K-Cups, oils, spices, tin foil/plastic, etc) if you plan to cook. There is a lovely wood-burning fireplace in the living room and a fire pit outside - don't forget the marshmallows! The beds are nice and comfy, there is a whirlpool tub in one bathroom and a shower in the other, and the floors are heated throughout the house! Amazing! There are board games/card games and a decent number of movies, and there is cable on the TV. NOTE: there is no internet, and if you have T-Mobile like we do, you will have NO service at the house. It wasn't that bad but it meant that we really couldn't figure out exactly where anything was (restaurants, shops, trails) or how to get there when we were at the cabin. We had to drive into Hayward or up to the Brule River State Forest to do our planning and searching. The house is really nicely decorated and well kept by Tim & Vicki and their family. I completely enjoyed staying and we hope to be back again another time!

The cabin was a perfect stay for Birkie weekend even though there was no snow! Great Location! It was about a 30 min drive to both Cable and Hayward and about 75 min drive to Bayfield (where there was snow). The cabin itself was a nice retreat form the outdoors with a great lakeside view. I appreciated the in-floor radiant heat which easily maintained a constant temp through out the cabin. They even had the fireplace already set to go with wood when we arrived. Lots of cozy seating available upstairs and down with the upstairs seating area open to the kitchen and adjacent to a three-season porch. Very cozy indeed! Clean sheets and towels were provided. It had a well stocked kitchen with all the utensils needed to cook a meal. I have stayed at three different cabins during Birkie weekend. This was my favorite by far! It was a great value for the comfort level. Full of personal charm!

My wife and I stayed at Tim and Vicki's cabin for a weekend in February. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for to relax. The weather was great, so we were able to enjoy the firepit outside a lot and walked around the area. I'd love to check it out in summer as well. Everything was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook our meals. The fireplace inside was great as well. It was also nice to have laundry. Overall, the stay was wonderful and I'd highly recommend it to anyone!

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin! We booked it for a family vacation and couldn't have been happier. The cabin was super clean, beautifully decorated, and we loved the open living concept on the first floor. The dinning table seats 4, and there are 2 bar stools at the island. For skiers, the cabin is 25 minutes to the North End Trails (Cable) and Birkie trail.
