The guest house, we affectionately call the Villa, is situated near great views, restaurants and dining, wineries, and nature trails available in Jacksonville, Ashland, and Medford. Located in the country with views of the famous pear orchards. We have designed the villa to be a quiet retreat. Every detail invites you to slow down and enjoy the beauty of life and Southern Oregon. To see more, find us on Instagram @thegreenwoodvilla

The space

|| The Bedroom ||
~There is a barnwood sliding door that can slide over for privacy in the main bedroom. You can also open or close the curtains to your desire, although you won't see many, if any, people walk around behind the Villa.
~The bed is a queen size bed and extremely comfy.

|| The Kitchen ||
~There is a small fridge with a little freezer space for your use and help yourself to whatever it is stocked with.
~The instant hot water kettle, Hario pour over, filters, coffee hand grinder, and teas, are ready for all your coffee and tea needs.
~We have provided a toaster oven, hot plate and skillet perfect for small meal preparation. If you plan on cleaning the skillet, DO NOT use soap, only use hot water and a scraper brush.

|| The Bathroom ||
~The farm sink is perfect for washing any dishes and for drinking water, as well as bathroom use. There is cleaning supplies and towels located beneath the sink.
~The slider door can slide over to create privacy for bathroom users or shower users. However the bathroom ceiling is open to the rest of the space, making it not extremely private.

|| The Loft ||
~The ladder/stairs go up to the loft.
~We tried making the loft as safe as possible by putting in railing on the edge. Please be cautious with children in the loft.
~There is a full bed and a twin bed in the loft.

|| The Patio ||
~The double doors open onto the patio. The bedroom also has a door to the patio and pergola. We ask that you be mindful of your shoes and keeping them clean if you reenter the Villa through these doors.
~Enjoy the fenced in yard and patio. There is an outdoor fire pit that you are welcome to use upon request, and there is firewood available stacked next to it.

|| The Living Room ||
~Feel free to play the piano and enjoy the space. We intentionally did not provide a TV, to encourage guests to slow down, enjoy the beauty, and be present during their stay.

Guest access

You are welcome to enjoy the Villa patio and backyard. There is a fire pit available, perfect for summer nights and star gazing. Please let us know if you plan on using the fire pit. Make sure all fire is kept inside the pit and is thoroughly put out. Your safety and the safety of the property is our utmost concern. Use fire pit with respect and caution.

Interaction with guests

Rachael and Jonathan love hosting and making our guests feel welcome. Although we both work and are involved in multiple projects in the city and on the property, we make it a priority to be available to our guests, we love Southern Oregon and will happily make suggestions for places to visit. We look forward to hearing your story.

Other things to note

We are pet friendly but ask guests to pay an additional $15 to cover any extra cleaning requirements. After requesting to stay in the Villa we will confirm with you about the pet fee and then adjust your reservation to add that, which you have to confirm.

This place felt like a home away from home. An oasis for the soul. We were greeted by the sweetest host and a litter of the cutest puppies around. Every detail was so thought out and perfect. It was the most beautiful setting. A weekend in this home is highly recommended. We hope to return sometime soon!

This was the best weekend getaway we've had in a long time! The Greenwood Villa is gorgeous and located right in the middle of a bounty of activities and fun. We ate great meals in Medford and Jacksonville , wine tasted in talent and Phoenix and watched a college football game in Ashland. Johnathan and Rachel were the perfect hosts!!

The Villa is a beautiful space located in between Medford, Jacksonville, and Ashland. The house was clean and homey, the beds were comfortable, and there were waters and some breakfast food in the fridge. The hosts were quick to respond and made the visit welcoming. The only thing to note is that the bathroom (toilet and shower) are located in the bedroom, and the sliding door only covers the toilet or shower one at a time. We had a visit with 4 people that made bathroom use a challenge, but we worked it out! Overall I'd recommend a visit to the Villa!

The Greenwood Villa is a gorgeous place to get away from it all! My boyfriend and I spent his birthday weekend here, and we enjoyed every second of it. The house is simply yet beautifully decorated, open yet private, and easy to get to and from other places in the Rogue Valley. The bed was super comfy, and the shower was spacious and clean. We didn't use the fire pit because of the current fire situation in Southern Oregon, but it sure looked like a cool set up! We'd happily recommend this place to friends and others looking for a nice place to stay in the Rogue Valley!

This is an amazing place and it is very dog friendly! The pictures only give you a glimpse of how great it really is. The rustic but modern feel of the villa really impressed my wife and me, and it is set in a beautiful and private landscape. The yard is fenced in and there is a huge amount of space to play fetch. Also, host has 2 great dogs that played well with our dog, which was a lot of fun. Our kids loved the loft room, and they had a blast. It's a great retreat, and I highly recommend it.

I've seen many an Airbnb and I must say, this one is has been a favorite. Great location 7 minutes from Jacksonville & right outside of Medford, the place was clean, perfectly appointed, and stylish, and the hosts were warm, communicative, and fun to get to know. It was the perfect place to stay in the valley! Furthermore, our dog had a great time & they have an enclosed yard for visiting pups.

Staying at the villa was magnificent. I cannot even describe the wonderful feeling that the entire property evokes, thanks to Jonathan and Rachel's detailed care for providing the best stay for their guests. The villa is equipped with everything you could need, and even some breakfast and morning coffee essentials. We had such a relaxing time just sitting outside on the patio and waking up to the amazing view out the floor-to-ceiling windows. I couldn't recommend any other place more if you are traveling to the Jacksonville area. This is a MUST!
