This is a great retreat in a restful, comfortable, artsy oasis just outside of town. Your semi-African bush getaway starts as you venture 5 kilometers outside of White River and turn down our dirt drive. Mongoose, a bushbaby or two, small antelope, and even vervet monkeys have been spotted on our property on occasion.

The space

We want this to be your home away from home. We have strived to make the space cozy so that you can feel comfortable and rest well during your stay.

Your oasis comes equipped with a small kitchen including a mini fridge, hot plate, and kettle. We also provide coffee, tea, and milk. You will find all the basics you need for cooking including pots and pans and cooking utensils. You can also relax by the pool as your scrumptious dinner cooks on the braai. It’s all the comforts nestled in the semi-African bush.

Guest access

We live on a very peaceful property overlooking the valley. Our guests are free to enjoy our property and walk around wherever they please.

Interaction with guests

We are available for as much interaction as guests want. We surely understand when you just want to get away for a relaxing and restful time. Should you need suggestions for places to eat or sightsee, we are available to help in any way we can.

Other things to note

There is much to explore as you continue your African bush experience. Drive time from the following attractions…

About a 35 minute drive from Kruger National Park’s Numbi Gate

40 minute drive from Sabie where you’ll find Lone Creek Falls (our favorite), Bridal Veil Falls, and Horseshoe Falls

1 hour drive from Graskop where you’ll find Harrie’s Pancakes, God’s Window, Lisbon Falls, and more

1.5 hour drive from the Bourke’s Luck Potholes where you’ll see the stunning views of the Blyde River Canyon

Jeremy and Jen's place was perfect for what we needed. They really had thought of everything, down to Tupperware for lunches to take to Kruger National Park. It felt very much like a home away from home and was a great size. We felt really safe and knew that anything we needed we could ask them for! The location of the lodge is great for Kruger with access to two different gates within an hour. We would personally suggest taking the longer drive to Melalane as it's a beautiful drive plus the queues for checking in at the gate were a lot less painful than Numbi Gate. The lodge is also relatively close for a road trip to God's window etc. Thank you both of you!!

Great room close to the amenities of White River yet secluded enough for a holiday break.
