Originally built in 1895, I've spent most of the last year and a half restoring this shotgun house after nearly a decade of neglect-though still a work in progress. Paired with its proximity to downtown (and its many restaurants, bars, museums, the Mississippi River levee, the State Capitol, and much more), the updated layout, appliances, and other amenities guarantee comfort and function. Perfect for solo explorers, business travelers working downtown, couples, and football fans.

The space

Sleeping arrangements are as follows:

1 queen sized bed (sleeps two), optional full sized air mattress (sleeps two), and couch (sleeps one).

Interaction with guests

I'm always responsive to texts, and if I'm in town, I'll be able to assist you with anything you'd need. If not, I will arrange to have a local point of contact for you. In either case, you'll be left alone until something is needed, just ask!

Josh's place is wonderful. It's an incredibly charming renovated home, stylishly and comfortably decorated. It's in a lovely and centrally located neighborhood, as well. Josh was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. He also gave great recommendations for having fun in BR, a city that can be a little hard to figure out if you've never lived there.

We had a fantastic weekend stay at Josh's place! The house was adorable and very nicely updated. He was extremely easy to communicate with (even gave a list of good restaurants and bars in the area) and check-in was a breeze. Would definitely stay again.

Josh, was an amazing host! Great communication and quick to respond. He was very detailed in his email correspondence offering a list of local venues, bars, and restaurants. His renovated historic property is absolutely gorgeous inside and provided for a very comfortable stay. Centrally located and close to downtown activities. I would highly recommend for the affordable cost and amenities of staying at his place.

Really beautiful place in a cute neighborhood. Walkable to downtown. The weather gave us some trouble but Josh was right there to help us out. Would stay again.

Hi, I'm Josh!

I'm an art director / graphic designer that also plays drums in a band that is lucky enough to tour the world (so cliche, right?). I love all things design: architecture, printed literature, interior design, carpentry, industrial design, and I'd like to think my home reflects that, at least a little.

I love playing drums and bass, and the travel that goes along with that. I've been very lucky to be able to see places I certainly wouldn't have had the opportunity to without music. Through this travel, I've learned to be a tidy, respectful guest in others' homes.

Other than that, I like pizza and baseball, and I think that just about covers it. Nice to meet you!
