My place is close to Victoria House is located within a short walking distance to Devonport Village. Home to cafe's, quirky stores, walks up Mt.Victoria, beaches and ferry into Auckland. . You’ll love my place because of Brilliant traditional New Zealand classic villa - totally flat site so easy with a family. Fruit trees out the back compliment the traditional look. . My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids).

Devonport Holiday Houses - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Thank you so much for choosing to stay at one of Devonport Holiday Houses family of accommodations – it is our serious wish that you have a wonderful stay.

Making a booking with DHH - Devonport Holiday Houses means that you have read and accept the terms, which will become immediately enforceable upon our receipt of your booking.


1.1 A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking, except where your booking will commence within one month. In this case full payment is due immediately.

1.2 Credit card details are required for all bookings, even where you are paying via internet banking.

1.3The credit card details you provide must be for a card you have the authority to use. We accept no liability to a third party for charges made to their card under your instruction.

1.4 A minimum Security Deposit of one weeks tariff is required on all bookings. We may decide to increase this amount for individual properties or bookings. We do not include the charge with the booking but keep your credit card details in a secure server. As per 1.3 we require a credit card even when paying by Internet Banking.

1.5 If we identify that you have caused damage to the property or breached the terms during your stay we reserve the right to charge your credit card for damages.


2.1 No refunds are paid if you fail to turn up or decide to leave early.
2.2 You are entitled to cancel 90 days before your arrival and will get a complete refund.


3.1 Arrival time is 3pm. Early arrivals may be requested if the property is available. Whenever an early arrival is necessary we will accommodate the request if possible.

4.2 Departure time is 10am. Late departures may be requested if the property is available.
3.4 It is important to know that we are at the accommodation when you depart for an Exit Inspection. At that time we say goodbye and make sure all is as it should be and receive any feedback regarding your stay. We are there at 10:00 am on the day of your departure - if you want to depart earlier or later you MUST txt/email us - if we arrive at the accommodation and you have already departed we will be charging your credit card accordingly. We take early departures before we arrive to the accommodation very seriously. We do this in respect to the owners and as part of the Devonport Holiday Houses policy


4:1 SMOKING: All Devonport Holiday Houses accommodations are TOTALLY smoke free - no smoking anywhere on the property inside or outside. If you wish to smoke it must be done on the footpath or outside the property. If we discover smoke odour in the property additional cleaning and fumigation charges will apply which will be deducted in accordance with clause 15

4:2 You must not alter the premises in any way. In particular you must not remove any items from the premises (excluding recreational equipment expressly provided). If items are removed and subsequently lost you will be responsible for the replacement value .

4:3 When making your booking you must advise us of the maximum number of guests who will be residing at the property. It is your responsibility to ensure this is adhered to. If you wish to increase the number of guests, you must obtain our approval and pay any necessary fees prior to the start of your booking. If you are found to exceed the maximum number of guests we may require you to leave immediately without any refund and/or require payment of additional fees.

4:4 If we receive information or a complaint requiring us to inspect the property during your stay a minimum callout charge of $100 (during working hours) or $250 (between 5pm and 9am) will be payable.


5.1 We have a cleaning/preparation fee for all our accommodations dependent on the size of the accommodation and the length of stay.

5.2 The fee covers what we deem to be a normal level of cleaning at the property. Please be aware that you are required to leave the home in a clean and tidy state . This means ensuring a reasonable level of cleanliness, washing & storing dishes, putting all contents / equipment in the appropriate place and removing all your belongings.

5.3 You must organise all rubbish - there are either orange rubbish bags or green bins for your rubbish. You must put all the glass, cans and plastic in green/yellow bins which are provided. Before departure all rubbish must be organised.

8.4 Failure to abide by the above terms will result in additional cleaning charges.


6.1 As the person making the booking you are entirely responsible for ensuring that the terms are understood and followed by all guests at the property, regardless of whether you are there or not. By making your booking you assume total liability for any breach of the terms or damage to the property.

6.2 Use of the property is entirely at your own risk. We do not assume liability arising directly or indirectly out of your use and occupancy of the property.


7:1 Our holiday homes are well cared for and maintained to a high standard. We inspect every property prior to your arrival and maintain a written record of any existing wear and tear. The property is inspected upon your departure.

7:2 You are liable for any damage caused to the property over the course of your stay. Any damage must be reported to us immediately. Please be aware that failure to report damage to us will result in additional charges.

Kathy's place on Kerr St is a relaxing getaway and perfect launching pad for exploring Auckland. Situated high on a hillside in Devonport, Kerr St looks out across the harbor with beautiful views of the water and Auckland's city center. Devonport's quaint but bustling main street is 5 minutes walk with several bars and restaurants to enjoy. The city center is a fun 10 minute ferry ride (also only a 5-10 walk from Kerr St). Our kids also enjoyed the primary school playground that was just across the road. The place was clean and bright, with modern furnishings and a nice large balcony that overlooks the city.

Joshua, Thanks for your feedback - I meet your lovely parents ( THEY ARE AWESOME) a great combination of being Australian but having lived in the U.S - I saw the open likeness my own parents demonstrated by being New Zealanders but living in the U.S. for longer then they had in New Zealand. Cute and cosy house in a lovely quiet street in beautiful Devonport. Highly recommended for couples or families wanting to be close enough to the action but still have a secluded retreat.
