I will begin by saying that it would be very difficult to find a similar spot for the same price (trust me, I've looked). Kimo, who I believe is the property manager, is very kind and helpful and is on top of keeping the place in great shape. Paper towels, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, toilet paper and dish soap are all provided--even laundry detergent if you forgot to bring your own. The bathrooms are shared (2 on each floor) and actually provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash (I brought my own, but I thought that was convenient). The kitchen is full equipped and it includes one community fridge for larger items, but each room has its respective mini-fridge to store most of your perishable goods in. There is also a shelf to put your other foods that don't need to be refrigerated. The room I was in for during my first stay was VERY roomy, much more than I expected which was very nice! not only was there a queen bed with two nightstands, but also two armchairs and a large closet. The N-Judah conveniently stops right at the doorstep of the building, so commuting is a breeze. That said, I would arrive a few days before having to attend school/work and get a little used to the sometimes-inconsistent schedule of the train (there can be a lot of delays). The UCSF library is conveniently located across the street if you want to go study elsewhere, but if you want to stay in and study the WiFi here is excellent...even superb (100+ mbps). All the doors have number pads on them, so you don't have to worry about carrying around a key or ever getting locked out. The closets have some drawers in them and also come with a bunch of hangers in case you didn't bring your own. The rooms have plenty of outlets and a power strip as well, so if you need to stay connected, you're all set. The rooms also have flat screen TVs which you can connect to your laptop to (I'm doing a coding bootcamp so watching coding solutions on the flatscreen was nice), and includes YouTube and other streaming services. My only complaints are that the floors are almost impossible to keep clean. I don't think the building is insulated all that well so a lot of dust gets in. Make sure to wear slippers/sandals at all times to keep your feet clean, and I ended up buying a Swifter too because I couldn't stand the floor feeling so dirty. Also going back to the possibility of the building not being well insulated, the noise of the N-Judah (which stops right in front of the doorstep) sometimes becomes (URL HIDDEN) if you're a light sleeper/have trouble sleeping I would probably find another place to stay. *Sometimes I find the other patrons to be a little inconsiderate in terms of cleaning the kitchen after themselves or cleaning the restroom after themselves...
