Our stay at Pierre's place was great. This place is around 15 min drive from Sarasota downtown and 25 min from Siesta key beach. if you have a rental car, life is smooth. Its a nice place in a quiet area where you can just relax easily once you are done with the days craziness. Place with 3 bed rooms was clean, neat and sufficient space with a special mention on bathroom toiletries provided! Although Pierre is not there from May-September, his friend Aldo welcomed us. Hot water was an issue and wifi is not there. Otherwise - a great budget stay for us!

Pierre's house was perfect for our needs. We traveled to Florida with our 15 year old daughter and the two bedrooms, living room and kitchen were the perfect amount of room for us. The house was near the places we were visiting. Considering the cost of staying in Sarasota in March the price was very reasonable. Pierre was great about communicating and making accomodations for our later arrival. He answered all of my questions almost immediately and made sure we had what we needed. He gave us some nice tips for local places to visit. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable.

In the details when you read what is include and avalaible, like TV or washing machine, there is nothing about Wi-fi so there is none...

We had hoped to have a private stay, but Pierre indicated he would be there for the first day or two. Not great, but he made it clear he would not be in our way, so we agreed. We checked in late (which was nice of him), but when we got there a bit earlier than expected, he wasn't quite ready...not a big deal, but he seemed rushed and harried. To accommodate us, he slept in a tent in the backyard. The next morning before we left, I asked Pierre if he would be there when we would return later, because we wanted to thank him for renting his place to us. That's when he told me there was a "change in plans" (his words) because his girlfriend broke up with him and he didn't have another place to stay, so he was going to stay at the house during the entirety of our stay. This was not what we agreed to, and I told him so. He got a little upset, indicating he would be staying out of our way, but with only one bathroom, and it being in between the two bedrooms where my wife and daughter were, I told him I would have to think about it. We (our family) talked about it, and decided to put up with it as we weren't going to be there much. The next morning, my wife decided to do some laundry (washer and dryer were included). I noticed a note on the table from Pierre indicating he was going to fix the fan in the bathroom while we were away the next day, so I went outside to let him know we were going to run some errands and be back shortly, so he wouldn't get started until later. Pierre informed me that the use of the washer and dryer was indeed included, but his "rule" was only one load per day, and said I owed him $10 for two additional loads done. First, I had no idea how many loads had been done. Second, I was extremely surprised at his tone. I felt as though I was being scolded for doing something wrong. Because I only had a $20 bill on me, I gave it to him and told him to keep the change in the event my wife wanted to do more laundry. Upon returning inside, I found that my wife had only washed one load of clothes, but did restart the dryer a couple of times as she pulled things out that didn't need drying as long as others. We then set out do run our errands and look for another place to stay. When we returned to the house, I packed our things and went to the backyard to tell Pierre we were checking out, explaining this was not what we contracted for, and that it was not working out. His tone got a bit belligerent and his stance somewhat aggressive. I responded by saying "I'm...

Response from Pierre:
Seems these people didn't wanted me around. Sorry there is no connection between the backyard and the house. In fact I was repainting the house outside. The dryer is very efficient, 3 hours to dry one load is impossible. The ad is more clear now. One load a day is normal. I bought a RV and will receive it in 2 weeks. So I will be away and also around. New people on Airbnb have no comments. When I have 2-3 comments to rely on , confidence is 100%. I also made them breakfast pancakes. Hardly received a thank you...

Pierre has a nice place. It comfortably provided our needs. Since he wasn't there and other guests had been there before us, one bed wasn't ready for us when we arrived. We had to take care of that ourselves with clean linens in the closet. The one with the keys was unable to meet us at the house, so we had to drive a short distance to pick them up. All in all, though, we had a good stay.

Response from Pierre:
I asked Benjamin to call one hour or two before arriving. He called only 15 minutes before... He was advised that was a friend who has to open. So.... he couldn't reach him in 2 minutes.... Clean towels were beside the linens for the bed in the closet in the bathroom ...Only thing to do put the dirty one in the machine...and take the new ones. Also I called the second day to be sure everything was ok, he told me yes it's ok...and now...
