We offer private accommodation inside the warmth and quiet of our home in Borgarnes.
Our home is the perfect base camp for exploring Borgarnes and its environs or Snæfellsnes Peninsula; or, take a break from a hectic road trip and reconnect with nature with beautiful mountain views from the living room, spend time relaxing downstairs in our café, or do some soul-searching amid the tranquil and meditative environment upstairs, downstairs, or along the coast, which is just a few steps away.

The space

There's nothing nicer than sharing your travels with the one you love; take the time to savor every moment in this bright, airy room equipped with queen-sized bed, table and chairs. Take advantage of the large window (with blackout blinds) with a beautiful view of the Old Town -- you might even get the chance to see a rainbow.
A serene setting with panoramic views conducive to repose. The view from the living room is stunning. The interior is comfortable and cozy. The walls are adorned with artwork, family photos and an eclectic, unique array of artifacts from around the world.
All rooms come with bed linens and duvet as well as towels.
Our beautiful and cozy café/bar, Kaffi Kyrrð (Café Tranquillity) is on the ground floor where there is also our flower and a gift shop, Blómasetrið (The Flower Center).
We share our home with our well-mannered dog, so our rooms are not the best choice for people with dog allergies.

There are supermarkets located throughout Iceland; there are a few just outside the airport at Keflavik, many in and around Reykjavik and two in the town of Borgarnes. Please be advised that most supermarkets close at 7 or 8pm; longer hours may apply in the summer. Grocery stores do not sell alcohol; alcohol can only be purchased from "Vínbudin" stores and licensed bars, restaurants, and cafes.

Weather:
The weather in Iceland is very unpredictable and extreme, and it is best to be prepared for anything, even in summer. Layers and waterproof jacket and shoes are recommended. Please take care when renting a car outside of the summer season to be sure it's a four wheel or an all-wheel drive.

This Airbnb is just magical and I enjoyed my stay here very much. Svava was so nice and welcoming. She was excited to share her guest's experience with the Northern Lights which were absolutely stunning the night I stayed in Borgarnes. The place is clean, comfortable, and has a positive and friendly vibe. There many family pictures on the walls which makes you feel like you know a bit about your hosts and are welcomed in their home. There are several restaurant options in walking distance and the gluten-free avocado cake in their coffee shop downstairs is delicious! I will stay here again if I'm ever back in Borgarnes.

The house was very cozy. My room was nice, and the bed very comfortable. The house turned out to be the perfect location to watch the Northern Lights!! Due to a car accident, I could only arrive very late, and I am very grateful to Svava and Katrin that they let me in so late. A big thanks again for that. They run a lovely cafe on the ground level of the house - the best coffee I had in Iceland!

This place was accurate to the description and photos. Overall I had a nice visit, the room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. I would stay here again. Also there is a cafe below which is very convenient, the patio space was a beautiful place to have a cup of coffee.

Thank you Svava, She is so nice. We were there a little bit late than the check in time 9:00 pm but she was waiting for us. Nice to know that she took a trip to Thailand 42 ago and recently her daughter went there last year as well. They both are excellent hosts. Believe me stay here more than 2 days and you will love it. Unfortunately for us that we could stay here for a night. If we came back for the next trip, we would stay here a little bit longer. On the side note, this place is super awesome. I took many pictures and videos while we were here. Amazing decorations and styles. Recommend to stop by her coffee shop for the breakfast too. Cheers
