Enjoy the summertime in Portland at our house. This is our second year with a portion of our house listed on airbnb. We've so enjoyed hosting. We are delighted to offer our main upstairs living space to you while most of our household travels for parts of the summer. Pets are welcome. Our downstairs roommate, a professional musician, will be your on-site host. Our frenchie/boston terrier mix named LoLa, who is super friendly with other dogs will be staying with him and happy to see you.

The space

Our home is located three houses down from one of the least traveled entrances to Mount Tabor Park and walking distance from two bus lines, several wonderful coffee shops, a hilltop top quality restaurant, Coquine, and the charming shops and restaurants in the Montavilla neighborhood. If you are traveling with pets, we are a short walk from a large, wooded dog park.

Mount Tabor Park has miles of wooded trails, great 360 degree views of the city of Portland and picturesque views of Mount Hood. Our kitchen is fully stocked with fine china service for 10 and plastic party service for more along with all the cooking utensils and seasonings to make cooking away from home easy and fun.

Guest access

You will have the full use of the upstairs portion of the house with your own bathrooms, living room and full kitchen and shared use of the hot tub, laundry room and gardens around the house.

Interaction with guests

Our housemate in the downstairs apartment, Saffire Bouchelion, is an international hand drummer and dance instructor. He will be your on site host for any needs that you have. He will have occasional drum practices and classes in the downstairs area that can be heard from the upstairs. These are normally between the hours of 4-9pm. If you are using our home to host a gathering of friends or family while you are staying with us, he can work practice and classes around your schedule as long as you let us know dates and times in advance.

This is a beautiful, HUGE house in a beautiful setting. Amazing value for cost. Karen is super nice and communicative. Would stay here again! Perfectly Toddler friendly, and perhaps the most comfortable bed I've ever slept In.

A great place in a great location with very accommodating hosts. In the morning times, you can hear a bit of noise from cars. The extra cozy bed makes up for it. It is really nice that dogs are welcome too.

So close to mount tabor and the front garden was in full bloom and beautiful. The home was cozy and in a wonderful neighborhood. Highly recommend this home for a stay in Portland. The home owners were great with communication as well. Thank you for opening your home to my family for a memorable Portland trip.

Our stay was just what the doctor ordered - tranquil and serene. The house is very comfortable and artsy and great for entertaining a small group, as indicated in the ad. Proximity to lots of cute high streets with shops, restaurants and bars are 5-15 minutes in every direction, yet you feel like you are outside the city since it's only a block off of a very large park on Mount Tabor. The hosts were on point and fixed a small snafu we had with parking right away. And everyone comments about the awesome bed, but the shower and hot tub are also lovely!
