Enjoy the summertime in Portland at our house. This is our second year with a portion of our house listed on airbnb. We've so enjoyed hosting. We are delighted to offer our main upstairs living space to you while most of our household travels for parts of the summer. Pets are welcome. Our downstairs roommate, a professional musician, will be your on-site host. Our frenchie/boston terrier mix named LoLa, who is super friendly with other dogs will be staying with him and happy to see you.
Our home is located three houses down from one of the least traveled entrances to Mount Tabor Park and walking distance from two bus lines, several wonderful coffee shops, a hilltop top quality restaurant, Coquine, and the charming shops and restaurants in the Montavilla neighborhood. If you are traveling with pets, we are a short walk from a large, wooded dog park.
Mount Tabor Park has miles of wooded trails, great 360 degree views of the city of Portland and picturesque views of Mount Hood. Our kitchen is fully stocked with fine china service for 10 and plastic party service for more along with all the cooking utensils and seasonings to make cooking away from home easy and fun.
You will have the full use of the upstairs portion of the house with your own bathrooms, living room and full kitchen and shared use of the hot tub, laundry room and gardens around the house.
Interaction with guests
Our housemate in the downstairs apartment, Saffire Bouchelion, is an international hand drummer and dance instructor. He will be your on site host for any needs that you have. He will have occasional drum practices and classes in the downstairs area that can be heard from the upstairs. These are normally between the hours of 4-9pm. If you are using our home to host a gathering of friends or family while you are staying with us, he can work practice and classes around your schedule as long as you let us know dates and times in advance.

Karen Hery is 49 from Portland, OR. My partner, Walker, is 66. We love Portland and spend lots of time in the out of doors. We are foodies and have sampled many of the restaurants around town at all price points.
