Recently updated condo with new appliances, furniture, and kitchen fixtures. Fabulous views of the Killington ski area, 4 minutes to the Skyeship, 6 minutes to the K1 base. Minutes to restaurants, nightlife, bars, ski shops, groceries, and churches. Shoot pool in the man-cave, take a hot tub on the back deck, read a good book, or just relax in front of a roaring fire watching a game on the high-def big screen TV. Sunsets beam through the LR window. Ample parking right out the front door.
This is a 3 BR / 3 level condo right off Rte. 4 just 0.2 miles from the Access road. The main living area is on the 2nd floor allowing gorgeous views directly at Skye Peak, Killington Peak, Snowden Peak, Ramshead Peak, and Pico Peak – seriously! The master BR (3rd flr) and LR/DR/Kitchen share these views. The open floor plan connects the LR, DR, and the kitchen (see photos). The kitchen boasts all new modern appliances incl. glass top stove, refrigerator with ice maker, whisper-quiet dishwasher, and above-the-stove built-in microwave. Don’t forget the drip coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, toaster oven, waffle iron and even a rotisserie! The LR has a VERY comfy couch and love seat combo facing a beautiful brick hearth fireplace and TV. We added a surround-sound system to the stereo system for an “at-the-stadium” feel for football games or movies. There is a "work station" with computer, large monitor, printer, and WiFi. The dining room sits 6 at the table with 2 more at the kitchen counter top "bar" (see photos) with more at the LR coffee table if necessary. Right out the back door is a private deck with a new gas grille, new 5 person hot tub, and firewood. The bathroom on this level has a full shower and also a stacked washer and dryer. And finally, in the warmer spring weather, there is a large front deck with bistro table overlooking the Killington Ski Area; great for sipping a cocktail and watching the sunset over Killington Peak.
Moving to the 3rd floor level, the Master BR has a queen bed, triple dresser, chest on chest dresser, flat panel TV w/ cable, and his and hers closets. Also a large triple window looks out at the Killington ski areas. The first bunk room has a twin over double bunk-bed (sleeps 3), and the 3rd BR has a twin over twin bunk-bed. A full bath compliments the 3rd floor bedroom quarters and all linens and towels are provided.
We have finished the ground floor level (aka "Man-Cave") which includes a pool table, wide screen high-def TV, an ottoman, and 2 couches. One of the couches is a sleeper with a pull-out queen and an inflatable air mattress atop a standard pullout mattress. (It’s VERY comfortable!) Shoot a game of pool or just enjoy the game on the big screen TV. And turn the heat up as much as you want fired by the very efficient wood-pellet stove. (Pellet bags provided.)
The condo is within minutes of the ski areas, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, grocery, churches, and liquor stores. We will provide many recommendations in the house manual we provide. Because of the varied weather patterns in the Northeast, we have to be strict about cancellations.
We are going to also be using the condo during the winter so have locked our personal belongings in some closets and cupboards. You will have access to the entire condo except these locked areas. Also, we are leaving things in the kitchen like flour, cooking oil, salt and pepper, zip lock baggies, foil, etc. If you notice these are running low, please let us know so we can replenish them. We provide kiln-dried firewood, fire starter sticks, and pellets for the 1st floor pellet stove. We would prefer that you leave your skis in your car or on your car's roof rack. You can leave your ski-boots, helmets, and jackets on the ground floor in the coat closet or in the "man-cave".
Interaction with guests
We will not be in the area during your stay but am available by cell phone for any problems. I also know lots of people at Killington that can help out locally if needed. Our next door neighbors are all good friends and can assist with things as well. Also, we have a hot tub maintenance guy who can trouble shoot if there are any problems with the tub.
Other things to note
The road into our development is a one-way loop. Please be courteous of this direction. If you want a good invigorating hike, walk 3/4 around this loop where you will find a trail leading into one of the development's leaching fields. Turn right in the field and follow the yellow trail blazes and you will eventually (3/4 mile) come to the AT trail. Turn left on the AT (white blazes) and hike to Kent Pond which is about 45 minutes each way.
There is a Catholic Church 1/2 mile away on Rte 4 (east) with a 4:30 mass on Saturdays. This church doubles as the United Church of Christ with worship at 9:00 AM Sundays. Any other worship would require the 25 minute drive into Rutland.
