This place is GORGEOUS. The pics dont do it justice at all, either inside or out. The views are amazing, and the place has tons of hang out areas for a big group. We had a 8 girl bachelorette here, and it was perfect. Enough beds, and bathrooms, big hang out open kitchen, amazing deck, hot tub, campfire, super comfy beds! There are tons of seperate but still large chill spots with couches, tables, etc that make this a totally perfect party or family house. Kitchen is well equiped too- we did most of the cooking there, which was awesome.
The cons are minor: campfire is def an outdoor space. A few of our less camping-oriented girls were not 100% into it. Still had fun :) the host had a good amount of wood, but if thats your plan for multiple nights, may want to bring some in (we also were surprised not to find somewhere local to buy some and had to scavange. Again- totally fine for the outdoorsy, but not all of the group).
No wifi!!! :( and bad service. Honestly, to be expected in such a secluded spot. It was kinda nice for me, less so for others.
Note on Location: by nature of the bourbon trail, its not super close to anything (nothing is!) but Sara was super helpful. She recommended a driver/van for our distellery trips! While it looks in the middle of nowhere, the limo we ended up booking was able to get to the house, even all the windy roads. Though... a few of us were majorly car sick (combo of hangover, booze, driving. So, bring dramamine for the faint of stomach!)
You MUST get a boat at the Taylorsville marina. They were a hoot and the lake was picture perfect.
All in all... a great event house. Thank you Sara!!!!
