Cute and comfy basement apartment north of h street. Short walk to great bars, restaurants and nightlife. Or hop on the free trolley to union station and the heart of congress, the national mall and more.

Very clean apartment in a neighborhood not far from the train station, supermarkets, yoga studios. The apartment had all amenities: washer and dryer, full kitchen, bed linens and towels. I had a very nice stay and Sejal and Dominick were very quick to reply and to help with anyth…

This area is DEFINITELY NOT A SAFE AREA. There are bars on a lot of the units in this area and we had everyone tell us once we arrived at the unit that this was not a safe area and not to be out at night after dark. They said just be very cautious when going out and know your s…

Response from Sejal:
I personally do not agree with this guest's claim that the neighborhood is not safe. I have lived here and have hosted on airbnb for five years now, and have never had an incident with safety (for myself or my guests). We did convey this to the guest, but it seems she is simply uncomfortable in an urban, mixed-race neighborhood. Like any neighborhood in the city, we do recommend our guests use street smarts like not leaving items in cars, not walking home alone late at night, etc. But any host in Washington DC, regardless of neighborhood, would recommend this to their guests. We do have two small children, and as the unit is an in-law suite, we cannot completely isolate noise between the house and the units. We do make a point of taking the kids upstairs to the third floor by 8pm and bringing them downstairs no earlier than 8am, so as to minimize noise in the evenings and mornings. That said, we will make the fact that we have kids and that there will noise in the in-law suite clearer in our profile/write-up so folks are aware before booking with us. Finally, we use a professional cleaner and ensure that sheets/towels are cleaned before new guests arrive.

I would pay close attention to your surroundings if you choose to stay in this home. Additionally, if you are booking a long term reservation, I would suggest you communicate expectations of sufficient amenities required for your stay.

My stay at Sejal's place was great. I never met her in person but she always responded quickly to my messages and was very helpful. The place is exactly how it looks in the pictures. I had read previous comments about the bed being uncomfortable, but they must've gotten a new one…

My husband Dominik and I live here since 2013 and we are happy to share our home with good people. We both work as policy analysts in DC. We love this city and are happy to call it our home.
