The accommodation was very nice and very clean. You have a perfect view to the ocean. Steven is a very friendly guy who gave us a very warm welcome. We would have given 5 Stars for the place and the host. 1 star taken off, because he left us waiting for 2 months to complete…

Response from Steven:
Rolf is falsely accusing me of "taking advance of a better pricing". Rolf tried to book his accommodation, of only 3 days, almost 5 months in advance. He messaged me during the very busy Summer Season ( High Season ). Most Hosts in Camps Bay, do not accept bookings more than 3 months in advance. I was busy accommodating guests that were trying to book for that particular month. I do accept bookings for 1 or 2 or 3 nights, but only at the last minute, not almost 5 months in advance, as it then stops me from getting longer period bookings. I explained this to Rolf, but he kept pushing me to accept his booking. I went out of my way to accomodate him and allow him to book in advance. I feel it is unjust to push someone into accepting your booking and then when they do, that you deduct 1 star, because you did not get your way, at that time when you wanted it. Rolf clearly did not read the listing, it does not say that the washing machine is included, it says that use the washing machine has to be arranged and it is free of charge for stays longer than 5 days. Most of my guests, that stay for less than 5 days, do not use the washing Machine. Before Rolf's arrival he did not fore warn me, that he will use the washing machine and he did not ask for the price. When he arrived he immediately demanded the key for the laundry room. I told him that the price is R100 per washing load, he agreed to the price and was not upset about it. Most laundromats charge more than R100. We have a drought in Cape Town and we get fined if we use too much water, if I charge R50 or less, then he would have done more washing loads, causing me to have to pay a fine, for using too much water. If he was not happy with the price he could have gladly taken his washing to a laundromat, but at the time he was happy to pay R100. Again I feel it is unjust for him to agree on the price of R100 and then at the end of his trip to deduct 1 star, as he "feels" that the price was high, when he never went to a laundromat to check the price of a load of washing.
