Absolutely beautiful Ryokan full of history! My room had a priva bath, and opened onto the garden. Sachiko-san and her team were lovely and very helpful!

Good location if unable to stay on the Nakasendo Trail. Beautiful traditional Ryokan, great garden room and tasty breakfast. Very close to station (about a 5 min walk). Only one of the hosts spoke English (I speak no Japanese) but it is amazing how far you can get with a smile.
