The space

This space is modern, yet charming, nestled in the heart of the historic Wrigley neighborhood in Long Beach.

A fully functional kitchenette, crisp linens (hypoallergenic), towels, games, and Netflix await you. You'll find coffee, tea, water, and some rotating treats floating around.

Jet to downtown, the beach, Bixby Knolls, Cal Heights or Belmont Shore within minutes. Several culturally diverse restaurants with fantastic food, and amazing coffee shops, sprinkled around the neighborhood just a short drive away.

Guest access

-The Art Studio is completely detached from our main house, with a little private patio.
-The pool & spa are common areas, but you can use them at any time.
-You will be given a temporary access code for the front door prior to your arrival. Please note, the door locks automatically upon exit, so you'll need to enter the access code each time.

***If you would like to use the spa, please text me in advance or at the time of booking so we can have it heated up for you***

Interaction with guests

You may see me out and about in the back yard at times, feel free to come and say hello. Sometimes I make friends and we chat outside around the fire pit, sometimes I'm away. However, I will respect your privacy and our level of interaction will be organic. If you have any questions during your stay, don't hesitate to message me!

Other things to note

1) Our main house is at the front of the property.
2) There is one airbnb called "The Pool House" which is on the right of the property.
3) There is a second (yours) airbnb called "The Art Studio" on the left of the property.
4) The Art Studio has its own private patio.
5) The main backyard is a common area, for all guests to share and use the pool, spa and fire pit.
6) We have a small 8 pound dog named Dingo who lives inside the main house, but you may see her.
7) The pool guy comes early Friday mornings for 15 minute maintenance.
8) The gardeners come Wednesdays for 1 hour maintenance.
9) PARKING: STREET PARKING ONLY! Please note, parking can get tough after 9 PM. This is a beach city, and parking gets tights. You may have to park 2 or 3 blocks away. In the event of an emergency, please shoot me a text message if you are unable to find parking and we will try our best to accommodate at the end of our driveway if possible.
10) Please note outdoor street signs for rules about parking. They do ticket you if you are in the way of the street cleaning, which is Tuesday from 8:30 AM-12PM on alternating sides of the street.

This was perfect for us. Loved the pool and playing with Dingo. Some reviewers have commented on the neighbourhood. We thought the neighbourhood is fine. Even parking was not too hard. In the evening you may need to spend a few minutes finding a spot and need to walk a block but it is not that you could not park your car.

Very comfortable, cosy and nice. We had a very peaceful stay, exactly what we needed after two weeks road-tripping and camping!

Dorothy's place was excellent. Time was spent to design the place well. She responded promptly to my messages. The street was super quiet. There was a nice binder full of suggestions for activities/food in the area. Would definetely stay again!

The bed was amazing! I seriously am thinking of asking what kind of mattress it was! The best sleep ever. The art studio has great lighting, cool art, ceiling fan AND air conditioner. Lovely bathroom! Hair dryer, coffee, tea, fridge, plug in stove top, microwave, iron; all the essentials! Plus Netflix! The best part was the salt water hot tub and pool!
