Our place is at the surfspot and beach called Point which is close to the famous Supertubes spot. Our flatlet has direct access to the beach. Watch the surfers from our unit. Literally roll out of bed into the surf!
Our two roomed flat is the lowest level of our 3 storey home right next to Point. It has its own outside entrance (down a flight of stairs from the parking area), and is separate from the main house. It has a view of Point and direct access straight onto the beach a stonesthrow away.
Our unit has a bedroom with two single beds and a sleeper couch, as well as a separate lounge/ kitchenette that also has a sleeper couch (futon) in it. It has a lovely bathroom with a shower and bath (perfect for warming up after a cold surf or swim!) It has its own deck if you would like to sit outside to enjoy the view and sunshine.
Interaction with guests
As the rest of the house is our home, we may well be around but we respect our guests' privacy and will interact with them if and when they would like.
Other things to note
Our unit is also well suited to couples with young children, but there is no gate between us and the beach meaning that little children must not be left to wander to the beach unsupervised. No smoking is allowed in the unit.
- Although there are no houses in front of us, we are still part of a residential area and our guests need to respect our neighbors by not making excessive noise late at night and not walking in front of the adjacent houses - our lawns run along the seashore with no fences between them. Access to the beach is by a short path that is directly in front of the unit. Strictly no smoking in the unit.
I am a stay-at-home mother of 4 wonderful children, three of whom are grown up and out of the house. One of my sons is travelling the world as an international professional surfer and so has used Airbnb for accommodation in many places. I have accompanied him on some of his trips. My husband travels to Port Elizabeth each day, working there as a civil engineer and also helping one of our other sons to develop an aerial surveying company. We love living in Jeffreys Bay with its beautiful beaches and sea. We love the position of our house right at the waters edge at Point where our children can surf and I can watch them, and and my husband can use his surfski or SUP. We also enjoy long walks on the beach together. We are a christian family that love the Lord and love people and nature.
