House Rules
Check in is anytime after 3PM

- From December 15th to Jan 30th the minimum stay is 3 nights.
- If you reserve the same day of your arrival, please consider that we will need time to clean your room and have it ready for you.
- We are glad to provide the kitchen for your use, so that you can save in food budget and enjoy cooking if that's something you like. The use of the fridge in the kitchen is for food supplies (i.e. don't fill the fridge with beers, as other guests won't have enough space for their food). Be considerate on the space you're using. Also, be respectful of other people's supplies. You can use all the species and sauces provided, which are for general use, but not fresh supplies in the fridge. Please consider we're in the middle of the jungle, so don't take food to your rooms, as we don't want wildlife to bother you. There's a nice dining room provided for enjoying your meals. Please leave the kitchen clean, the same way you would like to find it when you need to use it. There is a general cleaning taking place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but we would kindly suggest you wash your dishes.
- We provide wifi for all our guests. However, in Tulum we are in the middle of the jungle and run onauto-sustainable energy, so we ask you to be understanding if sometimes wi-fi goes off for some time. It doesn’t happen very often, but if it does, please sit back and relax. It will eventually come back.
- Also, in Tulum there is no sewage in the beach área, we run over a septic system, so please don’t throw toilet paper or any other object in the WC. Bins are provided.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at Simple Restaurant. The owners were extremely friendly and very accommodating. It's very close to the sea and in a perfect location for relaxing in Tulum. We came at a very hot time of year, so sometimes it was hard to seek respite from the humidity! You get access to fans but if you don't deal well without AC this might not be the place for you (in the more humid season). The food at the restaurant was divine and we'd really recommend eating there if you get a chance. The pool is located at the back of the restaurant and is really refreshing, with a small but pleasant area to relax and enjoy some quiet time. We hired bikes and found this the most effective and enjoyable way to travel around. Tulum is a very relaxed place to come on holiday and we'd very much recommend it!

Buyer beware. This "bungalow" or "cozy cabin" is in fact a tiny shack, similar to the private room in a hostel. It is located in the back of a restaurant. The pool is in fact an ornamental feature in the dining room. All of the pictures shown are carefully positioned to obscure this. You would no more swim in this pool than you would swim in a restaurant's fountain! It is really not an outdoor area, except that the back area of the restaurant does not have a roof. The beach across the road is walled-off by hotels and is basically inaccessible. The area is extremely crowded and is choked with vehicle traffic all hours of the day and night, as this narrow road is the only road in and out of the entire coastal area here. When we arrived, the restaurant staff was rude and busy with setting up the restaurant. No one wanted to help us get to our room. When we got to the room, it was dirty (not filthy, but generally unclean), with a large cockroach in the washroom and towels that had been used by the prior occupants and folded up again. The shared kitchen is, similarly, a tiny shack with a stove, fridge, and small table. Being next to a restaurant, the area is noisy and crowded. It's fine for what it is, but it's ridiculously overpriced and marketed with pictures that are VERY misleading. We left as soon as we got there, something I've never done in twenty years of traveling all over the world and staying in some very questionable places. In Tania's defense, she refunded the base cost to us, which was appreciated, but she pocketed the hefty cleaning fee, which was NOT appreciated, since we didn't use the room and it wasn't clean when we got there.

A very small room, mostly appropriate for the solo traveler. Also the wifi is spotty at best, and only works occasionally from the far side of the room. It also is not a very quite room. That being said it is an amazing location, and much cheaper than staying in a hotel on the beach. Very basic amenities but would stay again if I was traveling alone.

Description is on point. Location is the best bang for the buck around the area. Restaurant in front of the place which is convenient. Market place close by and the beach is just crossing the road. Definitely highly recommended.

Excellent place to stay if you are on a budget. I took the ADO bus from Cancun to Tulum. From the bus station I took a cab to the restaurant where the airbnb is. The restaurant had excellent food, the staff is so friendly, and I definitely took advantage of the pool for late night swims! It will get hot - so ask the staff for a fan. Bring bug spray! Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and the beach is just across the street. Tulum was so beautiful - I can't wait to visit again soon!

This place was perfect for our stay in Tulum and as advertised. The location is perfect and just across from the beach, and easy walking distance to al the restaurants and bars on the beach. The staff is incredibly gracious, and while we didn't try the food it looked wonderful and the drinks were amazing! We had a bit of an issue with our room on check in, and Richi kindly accommodated and immediately moved us to another room. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I love meeting other people, get to know other ways to think, live, feel, eat. I believe it is very enriching. I have been a yoga instructor for 13 years. I have a 3 years old beautiful girl and I'm enjoying motherhood very much. I used to live in Mexico City, but currently live in Tulum. I hope to have people from all around the world visit us. I enjoy reading, poetry, photography, good music and good movies.
