We are located right on the boundary of Sahuaro Natl Park West. Great hiking, birding, and relaxing, along with fabulous breakfasts, wonderful views, and peace and quiet make this a perfect place for a visit to the Tucson area. All our rooms have queen beds, beamed ceilings, private baths, polished brick floors and outside relaxing space on both sides. Sunrises and sunsets are great, and there are lots of eating places about 15 min. away. We are secluded but only 30 min. to downtown Tucson

The space

Our place is uniquely decorated with a mix of Indonesian , Bali, and Mexican arts. Thick masonry walls and beamed ceiling provide a sense of well being in all the rooms. For the kitchen, Wayan grows 14 kinds of chilies as well as most of the herbs and spices she uses to cook. Her luscious nasi goreng (fried rice) is loved by many guests. And her special Balinese heritage makes for creative cooking as well as great stories. And our coffee is wild grown organic from the hills of Wayans home village.

Guest access

we have wifi, lots of porches and patios, a microwave for guest use, a shared use refrigerator and we welcome you to spend time with us. You can hike directly into the park from here. The National perk visitor center is about 15 minutes away and from there its only 2 miles further to the Az Sonora Desert Museum.

A beautiful and welcoming desert experience, very highly recommended. The view from my porch was right in the desert, with rugged and sublime mountain ridges that sunrise and sunset turned into thrilling paintings. The room was large and well-appointed with the feel of the hostess's native Bali, and the morning conversation with hosts and guests was friendly and interesting --and the breakfast was great, too! This location is new to Airbnb --I was the first guest --but has been here for many years, with many return guests who have become friends of Michael and Wayan. I hope to become one, too.
