This place is wonderful! Clean, comfortable, great laundry facilities and they even provided us with laundry quarters! I have nothing negative to say about this place. However, I do wish I had known more about the neighborhood we would be staying in. As of my visit, the East …

Response from John:
Downtown San Diego is experiencing another major building renaissance with as many as 20 cranes dominating the landscape. These projects have displaced a portion of the homeless population which is typical in almost every American City these days. News reports over the past few months have highlighted this recent phenomenon which is impacting many areas of San Diego including the Beach Communities. The City Council recently addressed this issue by allocating millions of dollars towards a fund intended to provide viable solutions. We are located well above downtown on the slope, but at least for the time being, the homeless population is more noticeable than usual when walking through downtown. Thankfully, San Diego has a very low crime rate when compared to almost any other major metropolitan area and it is believed that this issue will begin to subside over the summer. We did just install a new pass code lock on our side gate and the welder failed to install the rubber mount that prevents noise when the door closes. That will be addressed today.

Our stay was very nice! Only thing was the heat and not having much airflow through the room. Everything was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with anything we needed to cook with.

Response from John:
There is typically never an issue with airflow in this unit as it has 3 windows, a wall mounted air conditioner and 2 ceiling fans. San Diego experienced a serious heat wave during our t Guests stay and everyone we know including our family struggled through it. Our house has central air conditioning and it could not keep up with the heat. Mercifully it ended after approximately a week.

Great little place to stay! Better suited for 2 (maybe 3) rather than 4. But use of bbq, fire pit, beach towels and chairs and especially the boogie board was the best! There are some dirtier streets near by but not worrisome at all. Parking was always available on the street and…

Very nice apartment, sleeps 2 better than 4, not because of the sofa bed (soft), but because of the non existing chairs/table for 4. Every meal has to be taken on the patio, which is a little odd. Neighbors on the patio sit directly behind the sleeping room window, so noise and s…

This is a small, quaint little place in a generally nice area of San Diego. Really close to little Italy and about 15-20 minutes from Coronado island. The house is clean, and nicely furnished. The pull out bed isn't the greatest, but that's expected. Overall, this was a nice pla…
