Having stayed in quite a number of Airbnb places, Pierre's apartment is more a suite in a boutique hotel, than a normal Airbnb place.
Pierre has furnished his apartment beautifully - he really has an eye for interior design, and we loved all the small details, including an impressive collection of Art books.
The apartment is a short walk to a local supermarket, if you want to get a few things, and also to the U8, U7 or S Bahn.
There's also a lovely cafe up the road (Cafe Amalia) and a pizza place which my partner and I went to a couple of times.
Pierre is very quick to answer emails, and also was very accommodating - he didn't hesitate in allowing us to stay for an extra night when our flight was cancelled due to the Berlin Airport strike.
The only thing we'd suggest is a blind for the toilet, as the window is almost full-length and is directly in view of people walking towards you!
But that is such a minor quibble - you'd be crazy not to stay here if it's free, and I have a feeling the more people stay here, the more unlikely it'll be that he'll have the space because of all the great reviews!
