House Rules

Pet Rules:
You will find a pet welcome basket with bowls, treats, toys and poop bags. As much as we love our pets and treat them like family, there are pet rules that need to be followed so that we can continue to allow our four legged family members as guests and also respect our incoming guests that may have pet allergies:

1. There is a $25 per-pet fee.

2. Pets must be approved prior to booking - 2 dog maximum.

3. We allow "Invisible Pets". The term "Invisible Pet" means that after you check out, we should not see any visible signs that your pet was in the home or yard. This includes but is not limited to; pet hair, carpet and/or fabric stains, damage to window coverings/furniture/wood floors/etc., no poop in the yard or urine damage to the grass, no pet food left in bowls, or any odor associated with a pet.

4. Pets are not allowed on the couch or on/in the beds.

5. Pets are not to be left alone in the home unless they are in a kennel.

6. You must pick up after your pet. We provide the poop bags ... you provide the cleanup.

7. No cats allowed due to guest allergies.

Other house rules:
1. Quiet time is between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Loud parties and festivities are not allowed. While our neighbors are very kind people, we don’t want to disturb them.

2. Bicycles must be locked at all times. We provide the locks, helmets and pump if needed. You will need to sign a waiver prior to accessing the bikes.

3. We consider children under the age of two, additional guests, and a $10 fee per night will be charged. We have a Pack-N-Play and high chair for your use.

4. Play pools (if you should bring one) are not allowed on the grass.

5. Smoking is strictly forbidden inside The Beehive. There are ashtrays provided on the patio.

GREAT location. Within walking distance to perry district which we did a few times! Easy access to highway and grocery. LOVED the outdoor area to relax in and drink coffee. Had a really great stay there. Everything you need and exceeds a hotel stay by far!

I don't really write reviews so my wife is writing this: Angie's place was in one word, amazing. The location was great to get around Spokane and we loved the safe, quaint and interesting neighbourhood. We only wish we could have explored the South Perry neighbourhood more but due to the wildfire smoke being rated hazardous we had to stay indoors much of the time. The house was extremely clean and accurate as described and shown; even better than the pictures if you can imagine that. The portable A/C unit kept the house cool and comfortable in the summer heat and smoke. The beds we found a little soft - however, this is personal reflection as we are used to a very firm bed and overall we found the beds in The Beehive to be of very good quality. I usually pack up a good frying pan, a sharp knife and a good cutting board from past house rental experiences. However, Angie has thought of everything right down to the zip-lock bags if needed and basically you need to bring nothing! The kitchen is outfitted beautifully as well as the home in good quality and higher end items; you can tell much thoughtfulness and love went into the decor of the house. The backyard is gorgeous with perfect fairy-tale type green grass - you DO want to run around barefoot in it as someone previously mentioned. It is surprisingly large, and lovingly landscaped. The BBQ is charcoal briquette and all set up to use, all you need is meat! - again, unfortunately due to the fire situation we could not take full advantage of the back yard. One day we will allocate a full day to just hanging out there. We cannot say enough good things about The Beehive; Angie is very responsive and helpful and the house is immaculate. To split hairs - a bedside table of some sort would be nice in the master bedroom and we never did figure out the ceiling fan and light situation, but we made do. The windows do let in a lot of light but the way they are situated make the house a little less private. We had no problem keeping most of the blinds drawn when we were in the house but a wish would be reverse blinds that can open from bottom up. We vow to be back, under blue skies and clearer air. Thank you so much Angie and Randy.

We are glad you arrived back home safely, and we'd love to have you come back sometime ... preferably when it's not so smokey!

Thank you, Keith. I'm so glad you enjoyed your time at The Beehive. We'd love to have you back sometime. If The Beehive isn't available, try our sister property, The Birdhouse ... we know you'd love that property, as well.

We think Angie found her calling in life, she is a fantastic host. The house is decorated with bee decor, God only knows where she found all that stuff. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. My wife and I prefer to cook so we can tell you almost nothing about the restaurants in the area but we were able to cook very nice meals for ourselves and we had my parents over for Dinner one night if that tells you anything about the kitchen setup. Where Angie really knocked it out of the park though, in our minds, was the backyard. There is a large patio in the back with a table and umbrella and also a full set of patio furniture with a covered gazebo. The lawns in the front and back yard were golf-course green and about 4" high. They begged to be walked in barefoot and we giddily indulged ourselves. The neighborhood is quiet and residential and the property next door has many mature trees. We would highly recommend the Beehive if you plan on being in the Spokane area and are looking for a home like atomosphere where you can also entertain friends and family.

Aw, thank you, Kenneth, for such a kind review. We sure enjoyed having you and Wendy as guests. We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves, and especially the backyard. Randy will love the comment about the grass, as he continually works on maintaining it like that!!! We'd love to have you back sometime. If the Beehive isn't available, check out our sister property, The Birdhouse. We know you'd love it as well!

I can't say enough about The Beehive! Our family was so comfortable here, it was the highlight of our trip. Angie has thought of every little thing! My 5 year old was thrilled with the decor and told me it was just like being in a "real hive." I definitely appreciated being on such a quiet street, too. As Spokane natives we definitely know our way around and this is a great location: close to amenities but still very safe and peaceful. Now we want to come back to Spokane so we can try out the Birdhouse! Thanks again!

I'm a happy-go-lucky kind of gal, who could best be described as a people-pleasing, dog-loving hippy wanna be! I live here in Spokane, and I know just what to do and see here in town. I love it so much, in fact, that I want to do all I can to make our special "Birdhouse" or "Beehive" available to all who may be traveling through. I am always available and willing to help in any way I can.
