Right in amongst the action. 2 minutes from the beach and all the best cafes, restaurants, pubs, clubs that Byron has to offer.
This is a gorgeous, happy household with my mum and I. The unit is in a fabulously prime location but as a result can be a little noisy with traffic noise and occasional party goers passing by under the windows. If you're a light sleeper then ear plugs might be useful!
We have a lovely pet bird, Sid who sometimes wonders outside his cage.
We would like to emphasise that this is a lovely quiet place to retreat to after spending time at the beach, eating out and enjoy all the party vibes of Byron town. You will need to be respectful of the space and be conscientious about closing the front door so the bird doesn't escape.
The room is spacious with a king single futon. We've had many couples staying here happily but please be aware that it is a snug fit for two.
The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and stylishly decked out but is an old character filled unit, so if you're after something shiny and new then this isn't for you :-) We also use the kitchen a lot so only encourage minimal use by guests - basic breakfast and lunch prep is ok, but we are using it lots around dinner time so encourage guests to eat out - there are a plethora of cheap delicious eats very close by so it shouldn't be a problem. The Mexican take out next door is a particular favourite of ours.
There is no parking here. The local streets in central Byron are all paid parking (except at night). You can walk 5-10 minutes to find free parking.
There is a 2 night minimum stay. This website only advertises that as being applicable on weekends but the minimum 2 nights is relevant Monday to Sunday.
Up some rickety stairs round the back - I will explain further on booking.
Interaction with guests
I'm a shift worker so am in and out at different hours. I'm very happy to share my knowledge if I'm around and you need. Angie is around most evenings and is happy to have a chat
Quiet, peaceful and respectful
Hi there, my mum Angie and I are originally from Oxford, UK but we are lucky enough to live in beautiful Byron Bay, 2 minutes from Main beach. We often have language students staying with us and love to meet people from other cultures so when we have gaps from students then airbnb is a perfect way to meet new visitors to Byron Bay.
I have done lots of travelling in the last few years but am happily settled here now, working in the human services. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, yoga, reading, beach, hanging with the pets, learning guitar and walking around and eating out in this beautiful town.
Angie is an English language teacher at a school here in Byron. She enjoys yoga, reading, sudoku, crosswords and the occasional glass of wine!
