Nomad Tree Lodge is located on a beautiful jungle hillside just steps away from amazing surf on Paunch beach. The entire lodge is built in the jungle canopy. Lounge in our pool with a drink in hand, or let us help plan an island adventure. We're a 15 minute cab ride away from Bocas Town, but still remote enough to avoid the noise of town and experience the raw and uncensored rainforest jungle lifestyle.

The space

Your private 144 sq ft cabin with a 48 square foot patio is situated on an amazing rainforest hillside. The cabin sits above the ground in the trees and is fully screened in, so you enjoy the view and ocean breeze without any bugs. That means you don't have to sleep with an annoying bug net. They may look cute and exotic, but we've found bug nets are really no fun to sleep under.

Each room features a queen-sized cooling gel memory foam mattress with custom lockable platform storage bed for valuables. It's even big enough to lock up your surf board.

The large 70 square foot private bathroom is located below the cabin and includes an open air shower. All rooms are fully furnished with linens, towels, and soap. Plus each room includes umbrellas for the occasional rainy day.

Guest access

You will have access to the pool, bar and public lounge space.

Our cabins don't have a kitchen, but breakfast is prepared by our staff and included for free each morning. Also, there are 2 great restaurants within walking distance for dinner.

Interaction with guests

We live at the lodge, but aren't always around. However, my staff is very attentive and I'm available at anytime via email.

Other things to note

Nomad Tree Lodge is still under construction. We have completed the cabins, but we are still working on the pool, public lounge space, painting, constructing walkways, building furniture and making everything pretty.

The rooms are still very comfortable and open to guests, however, everything in the common area is scheduled to be completed at the end of November.

Nomad Tree Lodge is a unique experience. Travelers are looking for alternatives to overpriced hotels.

We set out to create a lodge that's uniquely designed, but still has a down-to-earth attitude. We're pioneering the future of travel and changing the idea that vacationing around the world is expensive, so anyone can travel and experience the world beyond their computer screens.

Nomad is awesome, but not for everyone! We like to make sure all of our guests have a great time and know what to expect.

Please, no smoking in the cabin, but you can smoke in the designated outdoor space.

We aren't located in town. If you can't afford a 15 minute cab ride, or wouldn't enjoy a 25 minute bike ride then don't book with us.

We are located behind a reef break for surfing. This means swimming isn't always possible at the beach directly in front of our lodge. If you aren't cool with walking 15-20 minutes along the beach to a more swimmable shoreline then don't book with us.

We are currently still under construction until the end of November. If that bothers you don't book with us.

Asher was a great host. Had a lot of tips and made us feel really at home. Breakfast was awesome. For people who like a jungle experience this is the place to be (waking up with the monkeys). Although the place is still under construction it didnt bother us. Really cool place to stay if you want to avoid noisy Bocas.

Nomad is a really unique experience! The cabins are outside of town where it's quiet and you'll see more of the wildlife. Loved it! I had a blast riding bikes around Bocas too, but that being said, if you're not into wildlife, or need a/c, or want to be close to everything, this place is not for you. The common area is really comfy and I loved eating breakfast there each morning. Staff is super helpful with recommendations and easy to communicate with. I'd definitely come back!

This place is such a natural and beautiful retreat and its owners were great hosts, warm and welcoming. For those travelers seeking the simple natural beauty that the area has to offer, you will be pleased. The breakfasts offered are delicious and affordable. I particularly enjoyed having coffee while taking in the view of the jungle and it's wildlife. I could tell that the owners are putting so much love into the construction and design of the retreat. I look forward to returning and seeing what it is like after it's completely finished! :)

Can't say enough good things about Nomad. Asher and Amanda are the most incredible hosts. It is a quick cab ride into town, and staying out of town and in the Jungle is so much nicer than staying right in town. Fantastic value. And the food was delicious at the restaurant, and cheap compared to the other tourist restaurants in town. Highly recommend!!!

This is an awesome place to stay in bocas. Calm, not far from the town (but cab needed). You sleep in a tree house in the jungle with monkeys and birds all around ! The breakfast was also very good. The owners are friendly and very helpful ! They helped us in organizing our stay and made it pretty amazing ! I recommend !

My wife and I are always looking for an adventure and connecting with awesome people. We love the ocean and tropical weather, so we packed our stuff and dogs and headed to an island in Panama. Once the island we decided to build a jungle lodge for other adventurous souls like ourselves.

I'm a web designer and developer by trade, so I work online sometimes. My wife helps me run Nomad Tree Lodge.
