The house is located in a lovely residential street adjacent to Preston Park. It is within walking distance of the city centre, although as we were running the marathon, we wanted to rest our legs so caught the bus which conveniently runs from the centre of the city to just outside the house and run every 10 minutes. Jacqueline was very welcoming and the house and room were lovely and exactly what we needed. She also allowed us to leave our bags there and collect them later in the day which was a great help! Will definitely recommend to friends looking for accommodation in Brighton.

A very relaxing stay at this beautiful family home, easy to reach from Preston Park train station, and quick walk into town. Perfect stay, cuppa tea, lovely bath, and breakfast! Only note for future guests, the beds are very comfortable, but perhaps not suitable for 6ft men/women! We're were fine, but tall people might not be able stretch legs. Very welcoming hosts, thank you!

Jacqueline and her family were lovely, we felt very welcome. The room was clean and light, and it was a lovely house. The breakfast offered was amazing, it felt like being in a hotel. We will definitely visit Jacqueline again if we need a stay in Brighton in the future.

We were welcomed in to Jacqueline's home and although our stay was brief in terms of nights and also in terms of hours (due to needing to leave very early for the London-Brighton bike ride the next morning) we enjoyed it. The room is very comfortable and the bathroom is palatial! If only we'd had the chance to sample the breakfast... Thanks again.

Hosts were welcoming and the property was in a lovely area. Short walk downhill to centre took about 20 minutes to the shops, then a further 10 minutes to the sea. There is a bus stop about 30 yards from the house but we didn't use it. The buses run about every 15 minutes. Room was clean but basic. No TV or radio but Wi-Fi access. Beds are not suitable for anyone over 5'6", door to the bedroom doesn't lock. No curtains at the window, just a blind, which was not sufficient to keep the sun out at 4:30am! No ability to make a hot drink or glasses in the room to get a drink of water. Parking is an issue. Resident only parking on the street with some metered spaces, but you can only park in these for 4 hours maximum. Non-resident on street parking is about 300 yards uphill but difficulty in finding a space. Parking in the centre of Brighton is very expensive, around £5 for two hours, although one car park was charging £9 for two hours! Between £11 - £20 to park all day. Breakfast was good, cereals and croissant/toast. Host provided us with some good local information. Paid £85 for the night, expensive for what we got.
