Welcome to our spacious rural home. Located just minutes from SH1, set on three acres, the property offers wide rural views, open outdoor space, and a relaxed country feel. The house itself is large and welcoming, with a huge kitchen and a spacious lounge with a fireplace or heat pump for cooler evenings.

The space
🏡 About this space

Welcome to our spacious four-bedroom rural home — a relaxed, family-friendly place to stay with plenty of room both inside and out. Set on a lifestyle property with large lawns, animals, and open space, it’s ideal for families, small groups, or travellers wanting a comfortable stopover with room for everyone.

The house offers generous living areas including a large lounge, kitchen and dining space, and full laundry facilities. Parts of the home have been renovated, while some areas still reflect the home’s original character — giving it a practical, lived-in country feel rather than a modern luxury finish.

You’ll have the entire home privately to yourselves during your stay.

🛏️ Sleeping arrangements (new photos to come once house is set up as bnb - currently we still live here and a few renos to come)
* Bedroom 1: Queen bed
* Bedroom 2: Two single beds, one with a pull-out single trundler bed. This room also has a wide selection of children's toys.
* Bedroom 3: Double bed and king single bed. Please note that the wall of this room backs onto our pump shed and so there is a little bit more noise than some people would prefer.
* Bedroom 4: Double bed and a single bed. Please note that this bedroom is not down the hallways with the others, it is down the stairs off the laundry.

All linen is provided, including sheets, bedding, pillows, and towels.

If you have more than 11 guests, drop us a message and we can see what we can do.

🛁 Bathroom
* The bathroom is functional and clean, with:
* A good quality shower (installed approx. 3 years ago)
* A large, deep bath — older in appearance, but thoroughly cleaned and fully usable

Please note the bathroom is one of the areas still awaiting renovation, but it remains practical and comfortable for guest use.

🍳 Kitchen
* The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. It includes a microwave, toaster, electric jug, and a free-standing conventional oven with cooktop, along with a full-size fridge/freezer (a spare freezer is also available in the garage if needed - turn on on arrival and off on departing).
* You’ll find plenty of cutlery, plates, bowls, pots, pans, cooking utensils, and basic kitchenware provided.
* While a full breakfast is not supplied, we do provide some milk and cereal options, as well as a selection of hot drink options for guests to enjoy. We also provide some basic cooking essentials such as salt, pepper, and cooking oil.

Please note there is no dishwasher, so guests are asked to wash and put away dishes before departure.

🍳 Living spaces & amenities
* Large lounge area for relaxing together, with books/activities, workspace and music corner
* Spacious kitchen and dining area
* Full laundry facilities (washer and dryer)
* Table tennis table in the garage

Spare freezer available if needed in the garage (guests are welcome to turn it on during their stay and switch it off on departure)

🐑 Animals & shared outdoor areas
We run another Airbnb on the same property, so while the house is completely private, the paddocks and animal areas are shared spaces if other guests are staying at the same time.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the outdoor surroundings and rural atmosphere while being mindful of other visitors and the animals. Please close all gates and children must be supervised.

Guest access
You have the whole house to use, as well as the front and back yards (none of the fences are electric).

You are welcome to explore the paddocks surrounding the house. ALL GATES MUST BE PROPERLY CLOSED and children MUST BE SUPERVISED at all times. Please adhere to this to prevent our animals escaping and/or doing harm to themselves or others, especially if they get out on the road. Any issues we must be contacted ASAP.

Please do not enter the paddock with the cottage in as we may have other guests using this space.

This is our heart house and where we will eventually move back to, so please treat it with love, care and respect.
