La Tomasserie is in the heart of the french countryside with great views and uninterrupted peace and quiet. Nearby rivers and lakes offer wild swimming and canoeing and the area is rich in opportunities for hiking and biking.
The local village has two weekly markets and some lovely restaurants and bars. For wine lovers several vineyards are within a 15 minute drive. The charming cathedral city of Rodez is 50 minutes to the South and the cultural hub city of Aurillac lies 45 mins to the North.
La Tomasserie is a small stone cottage set in 4 acres of woodland. On the ground floor is an open living and kitchen space with sofas, TV and fireplace, dining table and kitchen area.
The house can accommodate up to 7 people but is best suited to 4 or 5
Upstairs is an en-suite double bedroom with freestanding cast iron bath tub.
The lower ground floor (accessed via a separate entrance) hosts a twin bedroom with the main bathroom as an en-suite.
The outside space is made up of garden and decking, with a large decked area to the side of the house, a gravelled seating area outside the backdoor and another smaller deck amongst the trees that we use as a yoga space.
Woodland surrounds the house and you can access footpaths from the property. Dogs are welcome, a gate and fence ensure they cannot get out to the road.
Guests have exclusive access to all the spaces described.
Interaction with guests
We will be staying nearby within a 45min drive and will welcome guests on arrival.
Other things to note
The land around the house is in places, uneven and sloping with some steep areas. We have created fences and barriers but those with limited mobility or small children should be aware of possible hazards. Inside the staircase is open and does not have a balustrade.
