The cottage is basic but comfortable enough for the price. The location is out of the way a bit but that suited us fine. It was very hard to find so I would recommend making sure you have a pre arranged meeting point. It's a bit of an uphill walk back to town but that's Darjeeling. The View from the balcony is great when the weather stays clear. The first small shop you come to on the way to town makes the most delicious veg momo, the best we had on our trip.

This place was nice and had everything we needed. The wonderful housekeeper Andrew was an absolute star and made sure we were always comfortable, providing us with extra blankets and heaters when we needed them! Please note, though, that this property was *not* the same as the pictures that were listed. We were originally placed in a very small and basic accommodation, before noting that it wasn't what we had seen advertised on airbnb. We spent the first night there before being shifted into the much nicer property next door - however, it still was not the same as the pictures that are listed with this property! The host said that it was a mix up so this may consequently be rectified, but at the time of our booking the pictures were innacurate, so that is something to keep in mind. Apart from that, it's very cold! (Not something exclusive to this property - Darjeeling in March generally is pretty brutal!) but as mentioned above, Andrew was very helpful and provided us with extra amenities to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The view from the property is amazing and we had a very cheap and tasty meal prepared especially for us on our first evening after our late arrival. It's also worth noting that the accommodation is at the bottom of a rather steep hill! Overall, a positive experience after the initial confusion.

When I first arrived, I was ready to run away—it's so far down from the main road, and the place is really, really drafty (weather was cool, so this was a big issue). In the end, I decided to stay. The manager of the guest house, Andrew Kumar, was really helpful and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable, and his kindness is the reason I stayed. He provided a heater for the room, so it stayed warm in spite of the drafts. I found that I could walk to the main road in 15 minutes and up to Chaurasta in another 25-30, walking at a fairly good pace. It was a bit far and all uphill, but I ended up being OK with it. I was able to cook for myself in the kitchen, so this was good. There are a couple of small, yappy dogs that are pretty annoying during the day, but they don't usually bark at night. The grounds are pleasant and there should be a good view if it's clear, which is wasn't while I was there.

The place is really nice, feels truly at home. We had a wonderful time! Specially, Andrew (the caretaker) was very very helpful and he was available round the clock to help us with any queries. Breakfast and other snacks were really good ! Main market is also not far away, although you'd have to walk a bit uphill ! 10/10
