The Barbie's Bunk was great! A good size cabin for a couple or group of 4. The view of the pond and forest was stunning.

What a scenic, luxurious cabin! Surrounded by long grass and lovely wildflowers, Barbie's Bunkie was the perfect paradise that we were sad to leave. The most beautiful view right out front was beautiful to wake up to, and great for star watching. Don't hesitate - this is the best place we've stayed at during our two week Ontario road trip!!!

Great view. I thought it would have more around it, went on long walks and hikes. No coffee machine. Took 7 days to get deposit back, waiting for our money and some days not hearing back and not knowing if I'm getting it back, isn't acceptable.

Response from Barbie:
Hi Samantha Sorry that you weren't happy with the one week deposit policy But in fairness, you knew that before you rented. In a remote location in the middle of winter sometimes it takes one week to process the return but it is never longer Once again, our apologies that we couldn't meet you expectations Thanks Barb

I've always loved Northern Ontario. I have 6 children all grown up now and the youngest is now 24 years old...oh my how the time flies!
When the kids were young I took them camping in Algonquin Park in all 4 season. Yes, including the winter we stayed in Yurts. The canoes at the cabin were made for my kids when they were much younger.
Now that the kids have all moved out I felt it was a perfect time for me to focus on my dreams. And from that dream my lodge was created. I purchased the property with the old log cabin...now called Barbies Bunkie. I completely renovated it and then also built the little Moose Lodge cabin and also the large Off the Grid cabin. I stayed in a tent during the process. Talk about commitment lol
Anyway, I worked as my own contractor and hired and supervised the trades as my dream was being built.
I have recently created a new road off the main one and I'm building new cabins repurposing shipping containers. Ill even be putting a gym in one of the air conditioned containers. Oh, the plans I have!
I hope that you enjoy your stay at the lodge as much as I do. Don't forget to get out at night and look up at the stars in the Northern sky.....they are truly spectacular. And during the day please be sure to look for moose in the pond and for their prints on the ground all around the property. They actually walk near the cabins late at night :))))
My sincerest wish, for you, is that you come and find what you were looking for- whether it be the wilderness, the hiking, the peacefulness, or just time to reconnect with friends and family. Its all here at .....Algonquin Moose Lodge
