MAGIC CASTLE IN ENCHANTED EVERGREEN FOREST RIGHT BETWEEN SNOW SUMMIT AND BEAR MOUNTAIN RESORTS WITH VIEW OF BOTH. Cozy, warm, private quarters for 1-2 people includes queen bed, bathroom and breakfast nook. Near skiing, snowboarding, biking trails, golfing, restaurants, shopping, Starbucks, behind new Moonridge zoo location.

The space

The apartment is right near Snow Summit and Bear Mountain with a view of most runs that are lit up at night during the winter season. The spring and summer months offer mountain biking, boating, fishing, and water sports that are all very nearby. The Moonridge Zoo is just around the corner and soon will be right behind the Magic Castle. There is a short walk to the tram for busy weekends at the mountain resorts. The lake is close and the fireworks from the 4th of July can be seen from the front porch surrounded by solar lights.

Guest access

There is a separate apartment at this residence on the far end of the property. It is very private and guests stay here. The back yard behind the apartment is an open area and benches and a tree swing are here.

Interaction with guests

I will be available for help throughout your stay if you need it. The apartment has no neighbors and is very private. It is a large secluded property, so once you check in, you may not see anyone including me.

Other things to note

During the winter and spring months chains are required on all roads to carry even when the weather is fair. Road and weather conditions can suddenly change in the mountains, so be prepared. Food and water should be kept in your car/truck at all times in case of road delays. Be prepared for extra traffic on weekends. Sometimes Highway 38 is a better route because you avoid the Snow Valley ski resort on the way up Highway 18 which can be crowded.

Jeannie is a perfect host, she even gave us tips how to get to her house before we make a trip. She have all kinds of snacks and goodies waiting for us. Plus the house and landscaping is amazing! Recommend this place.

Jeannie's place was amazing! It completely exceeded my expectations! Even better than the pictures and very private. Jeannie was so welcoming, the room was filled with tea lights and snacks, she even had all the shower necessities you could need. It had everything we needed. We will be coming soon for sure! :)

Jeannie has a great little place , only a minute down the road from the ski slopes. Very clean room, comfy bed, cozy and quiet . She met us when we arrived and showed us around . Even had some snacks and fruit there for us. Perfect for a couple who just need a nice place to crash after exploring the outdoors that Big Bear has to offer.

Jeannie's place was great! A short drive from town, beautiful neighborhood, and a nice place to relax after a day of exploring Big Bear. There was a mini fridge and she provided some snacks and plates/cups in the room. We'd definitely stay there again!

Great location - great host. The space is all you need and there are lots of little extras. Both my husband and I loved our conversations with Jeannie.
