My place is close to restaurants and dining, the beach, family-friendly activities, nightlife, and public transport. You’ll love my place because of the location, the people, the ambiance, the outdoors space, and the neighborhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
Discounts with a local spa and restaurant, beach stuff provided (inc. snorkel/masks and lots more).

The space

Living area is open plan (typical for the island) kitchen/dining/lounge, leads to the screened patio. Wall to wall windows allows for a great view throughout the living area.
Master bedroom door opens onto a beach/sea view. Another door to the patio and then literally 3 steps to the world famous Seven Mile Beach.

The beach is a private beach (down to the high water mark) and the location is relatively inaccessible to the public, so very few people on the beach. Loungers, umbrellas provided.
We have a shade tree right by the apartment, great to sit beneath and enjoy the gentle sound of the surf while staying out of the intense sun.

There is a beautiful tiny cove, protecting a natural shallow area, perfect for the young and cautious. The beach is mainly sand with a few areas of rocks to give some easy snorkelling adventures without having to swim more than a few yards (or even just walk along with your head in the water).
Walking along the beach affords the opportunity to watch a variety of local birdlife during the appropriate seasons (Frigate birds, pelicans, egrets, herons, sandpipers, bananaquits and more). Several of the shade trees on the beach are seagrape trees and the fruit is edible (slightly salty/sweet).

The resort has a great pool, figure 8 with a bridge across, plus a jacuzzi. A gazebo and/or umbrellas with lounge chairs affords for a relaxing time. Lots of well grassed areas for the young (and young at heart) to play on.
BBQ close to hand so you can enjoy the outdoor life in your shorts and hot weather clothes all night long all through the year.

For vacations over the Xmas/New Year, to maximise our occupancy during the peak season we prefer bookings that cover one week incorporating Xmas and a second week incorporating New Year. Xmas up to 29th Dec, New Year from 27th Dec onwards.

Guest access

You have access to 600 feet of private beach. Large open grassed areas to play on, or just to squeeze the cool grass beneath your toes. BBQ nearby to enjoy the evenings with. Tennis court for resident/guest use if you want to stretch out a little. (There is a World Gym close to hand, with reasonable daily/weekly rates).

Interaction with guests

Our property manager is happy to help where he can (rarely off island) and if he is not available, he can find someone who can help in most situations (flying to the moon is a little too much, but let us know for anything a bit easier :) ). The humour comes for free.

Other things to note

We are always looking at improving your experience. let us know if there is something you want and we shall see what we can do.
We have a waterproof camera (down to 50', so great for snorkelling, not for scuba) that we lend out when available (no charge, just take care of it).
We also offer discounts at our spa (Touch of Thai, (URL HIDDEN) - 20%) and our restaurant (Thai Orchid, (URL HIDDEN) - 10%). Great way to add to the luxury of your vacation.

Snorkelling - check out Testudos blog. Lots of locations with descriptions. Our personal favourite is Smith Cove. Some great coral outcrops very close to the surface (arms length deep). Keep swimming south and there are small areas of coral for the next several hundred yards - a long way to swim and it's all close to the rocky shoreline and shallow.

We arrived on a Saturday. The place is exactly as described, in fact better. Perfect location to fall out of the condo and end up on the beach. Shade tree was great and the beach was very well maintained.

This place is truly awesome! Most places you book on line leave a little bit to be desired - either the pictures are overly flattering, the description is a bit over the top or things just aren't as good as you had hoped. This condo is definitely NOT that - in fact I would have to describe it as the perfect vacation condo. We stayed for 7 nights. For starters, it is literally 3 steps from the beach. The ocean views are stunning! It is an end unit, which allows for a good cross breeze through the patio. It is also near enough to the pool, but far enough away so that you don't have to deal with the noise. The pool is gorgeous as well and quite spacious. The complex is located on Snooze Lane and is the perfect combination of proximity to restaurants and attractions but at the quieter end of Seven Mile Beach. The property manager, Graham, greeted us personally upon our arrival and stopped by to wish us well on our departure. We called early on our first full day to report on a couple of items that appeared to be missing (hot pads, oven mitts, etc) and by the time we returned that afternoon, a full complement of supplies was waiting for us at their expense. The condo also comes with beach towels, tennis racquets & balls, snorkel gear and basic supplies like shampoo, body wash, laundry detergent, etc. We have stayed in other (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), Airbnb, etc. properties in the States and have always found them to be nice, but this property is far and away our favorite. We will definitely be back! Thanks Graham and Suladda!

As I sit on my couch at home and allow my mind to wander over the past 8 days spent at this property, I struggle to gather my thoughts and arrange them in a logical sequence that would do this property and the host justice. In one sentence…. This is the best property on Grand Cayman for a couple or family and it’s being offered by the best host on AirBNB. For those who like a little more detail…. Property This property is ideally located on the island. It’s at the south end of 7 Mile Beach. It’s sufficiently far enough from the cruise ships and resorts to be away from the tourist flock. But it’s also close (walking distance) to incredible restaurants (with menus catering to every possible desire), a convenience store, and shopping. The unit itself is ideally located on the property. It’s a downstairs end unit, so the private patio is open (screened) on two sides. There are no neighbors to the south, which is nice. The beach is private and there’s a nice tree directly outside of the patio. We spent 8 days here and only occasionally saw others on the beach. There will be times you will quite literally have this entire private beach to yourself. It can be tough to tell from the pictures, but this is one of the best beaches on the island. It may look rocky (every beach on this island has rocks), but there is smooth, sandy, and easy access to open water on either end of the rock pile. And that rock pile provides for calm waters in the small bay, which makes for a perfect place for the little ones to play safely. Some of the best snorkeling on the island is in front of this property. There is an abundance of coral and fish of every variety, size, and color. The waters are generally very calm and the current is quite manageable; even at significant distance from the shore. The sea floor rises and falls along the way, which provided places to stand up and rest when needed. Take a short swim or walk down the beach to the south and you’ll find a shipwreck poking out of the water. This was one of our favorite places to snorkel. The unit itself is clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. We had everything we needed, from laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, body wash, shampoo, coffee and tea, clean bath and beach towels, etc. Nearly every spot in this condo has a beach/ocean view. From the kitchen, dining area, and the family room, you’re looking out through the private patio onto the beach. The master bedroom has incredible views through two pairs of French doors. One set opens to the patio and the other pair faces the beach. The Host Suladda was an organized and gracious host. She was quick to confirm the reservation and let me know how the process would work as our trip approached....

Very accommodating. First time in Cayman Islands. Place was right next to some coral, great for snorkeling (gear provided). Host was in reach almost instantly. Very quiet atmosphere. Near everything. I definitely recommend supermarket Fosters over Kirks since its cheaper. I definitely recommend renting a car.

Great location, right on the beach & just a few steps to the family friendly pool which our kids loved. The place was incredibly clean, the owner was fantastic as he greeted us when we arrived, allowed our family to check in 5 hours early and even helped us with our luggage. Great experience overall, we will definitely return.

I love to cook and was a professional pastry chef for a top chef. I also love to paint and I am fortunate that my paintings have decorated many a home on the islands. Several restaurants and business also sport my frescoes all across their walls. I have many other passions in my life and providing top service is one of them.
