Cozy garden unit with all the space and amenities you may need from one night to a 30 day stay. During your stay you will have the access to the entire unit which includes 2 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen), full sized bathroom, kitchen with bar seating and living/dining area. Excellent Wifi connection throughout the unit, Living room has a 48'' smart TV with cable and streaming services. Recently rehabbed, everything is brand new.

The space

Tons of restaurants, bars, and cafes within walking distance. 5 minute ride to Wicker Park, 20 minutes to downtown. Very close to public transportation. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the people, and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).

Guest access

Visitors have access to the entire unit and it is all private, I do not live on sight. I respect my visitors space however, I am available by phone/text for whatever guests may need.

Interaction with guests

I am available for anything my guests may need whether it be a question about the unit or suggestions on where to eat/grab a drink. The space is in a great area with tons of highly regarded establishments. Revered by Chicagoans and travelers alike.

Other things to note

Here are just a few locations within walking distance that I would highly recommend:

The California Clipper:
Bar with a speakeasy vibe, live music and top notch craft cocktails

CC Ferns:
Cozy and laid back coffee shop serving locally roasted coffee

Boeufhaus:
One Chicago's newest steakhouses.
Part of Chicago Eater's "38 essential restaurants"

Bar Marta:
Made Chicago Magazine's list of best new restaurants in 2016. Great for sharable small plates and pasta.

Kai Zan:
5 star sushi with option for Omakase or "chef's choice"

Cafe Marie-Jeanne:
French inspired all-day cafe, perfect place for brunch.

This place is a great value! The location, space, amenities and decor are perfect for a Chicago getaway. It looks even cuter in person! Street parking was a breeze and getting downtown took 15 minutes, $9-12 with Uber. The living room, dining space, and large kitchen are perfect for those who want to relax and spend some time inside. My husband and I had been traveling for over a month, so although we did explore the city, we also wanted a very comfortable and welcoming space to unwind. We were able to get some laundry done, had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook meals, and lounged on the couch watching Netflix. We were unable to use the Internet during our stay. It would connect, but even with 5 bars nothing would load. Netflix could also be spotty. I will note, however, that I did not contact Matthew to resolve this issue as we only stayed two nights and there wasn't a dire need for wifi. The bathtub was a beautiful, deep tub with plenty of hot water. If you're looking for a place with a bathtub, I recommend it! The place is very spacious with a nice king size bed (very important) and a queen size in the second bedroom. The towels and sheets smelled clean, and were good quality. Lots of lighting, artwork, and a very homey yet elegant vibe. No shoes policy is important as it was bothersome when on the second night the neighbors upstairs were walking around with their shoes on! Otherwise, it was a quiet and safe neighborhood with some cute eateries and cafes within walking distance. Would recommend, & would stay again!

This Airbnb option is in a new building with incredibly nice finishes in the home. The host was very accessible and super helpful in making accomodations. This is a family neighborhood with walkable stores for groceries. There is ample storage space, the bedding is very nice, and everything was impeccably cleaned. Ride share options arrived quickly to this address. Overall a great weekend stay.

Matthew's place was everything we wanted and more. Cosy, extra cute, and very homey. The pictures are really great but the real space is even better! The bathtub and the king bed really made me feel like a princess for a few nights. I can't wait to stay here again sometime. The check-in process was easy and autonomous. Matthew himself is kind and answers any questions you may have but everything is pretty straight forward. I felt welcome in his place to be as comfortable as possible-- the big tv and the fast Wi-Fi made the experience feel that much more luxe. Stay here for sure! For some, it might be a little out of the way but the ride somewhere is worth it; the neighborhood has a lot to offer and is totally the exact Chicago you've probably come to explore.

We were there for three nights, everythign was good. the place is in a quiet residencial area, the bus stop is 3 min. walk, the whole place is spotless clean. Matthew communicated with us in a timely manner. he even let us check in ealier and check out later, because our flight arrived 2 hours before check in time, and departure late evening. we would recommend the place to stay when you visit Chicago.

Matthew's place was perfect for us. It was roomy, clean and comfortable. Matthew was immediately responsive to any questions we had. It was perfectly situated for us as we were interested in seeing the Frank Lloyd House out in Oak Park one day and then downtown Chicago on other days, Transportation to and from the Airbnb was easy and affordable.
