Just like the previous reviews - great Bach and absolutely stunning views! My only gripe is paying a hefty cleaning fee, then being asked to clean/do the laundry. Other than that we had a lovely family weekend and wish we could have stayed longer.

Response from George:
Cleaning fee is exactly what it costs me. Minimum charge of 2 hours. No need to clean other than dishes and to put laundry in washing machine then hang out or put in dryer.

What an awesome bach to stay at even in the depths of winter. Great views of the lake to wake up to after we arrived in the dark. The house was very clean and comfy bach style. Nothing pretentious but everything you need. The kitchen was perfect, lounge area nice and warm and the deck nice and sunny and warm even on a cold winters morning. The house was warmed but the sun streaming in all day but the bedrooms were rather cold but luckily we took an extra heater to keep things warm down in that area. The beds and bedding comfy in there small rooms. Plenty of off street parking and a nice quiet neighbourhood. The lake is just below via a walking track through bush. Very pretty and lots of birds as well. Highly recommend this great place to stay!

This was a really nice spot by the Lake. Very cozy and quiet. The place was much bigger than we thought it would be. Many thanks, George!

The views and birdlife are impressive, love the shoreline. This property is very peaceful on a no exit, and provided everything we needed for a great holiday with children.

This was a nice place to stay if you're looking for somewhere quiet by the lake. Kuratau is a nice town but a long way from shops, and pretty quiet outside of school holidays. Fine if you're expecting it, might be a surprise if you're not. This place did have the two things that we were looking for though: a kitchen and a quiet outlook by the lake. Perfect for a few days away.

An idyllic location with great views and so close to the lake. Peanut's place is the classic simple kiwi bach that's been well equipped with what you need for a getaway. Comfortable beds and lounge furniture, plenty of blankets if it's cold and kitchen well set up. We enjoyed being able to take our pet ( the property is not completely fenced but has clear boundaries) and being able to borrow the Kayaks and bike. The Omori store is not cheap so take in what you think you'll need.
