Interaction with guests
We do live in Arthur's Pass but not on the premises. We are only a phone call away should you require any assistance during your stay.
Arthur's Pass is situated in a beautiful alpine setting. There are only about 28 permanent residents but there is a great community feel to the place. Ten minutes' walk will take you to the village centre where there is a cafe/store, a licensed restaurant and the Department of Conservation Visitor Centre. Here you can get information and advice on the many walks in and around the area. The Store has a limited supply of groceries, so you would be best to bring your supplies with you. We provide complimentary tea/coffee etc. to get you started. The restaurant closes at 8pm prompt, so please bear this in mind to avoid disappointment.
There are two bus companies which service Arthur's Pass - The Atomic Shuttle, and the West Coast Shuttle. Both have websites with booking details.
The Tranzalpine train also stops in Arthur's Pass Village - a ten minute walk to the house.
