The apartment was newly and tastefully furnished, and it was spacious and receives loads of sunshine. Perfect for a couple, or a small group of friends. I found the kitchen very useful, it was clean, functional and modern. Perfect for making breakfast and light dinners. It's around a 3 min walk to Sao Sebastian station, and from there its a 5-7 min train ride to all the downtown spots. The neighbourhood itself is very residential and local, kind of quiet but super safe. One plus point is that there is a HUGE amazing supermarket at the shopping mall 5 mins walk away, it will have everything you need from fruits to hams to fresh seafood to junk food. I only discovered this on my 5th day there :)
Also a 7 mins walk away is the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum. I was there for 5-day conference and it was for me, from an architect's point of view, the most stunning building in Lisbon. Do check it out.
Doro (Margarida's husband) was there to welcome me into the flat and explain the basics to me. He even gave me a bottle of Portuguese red wine (bonus point!), and he was helpful with recommendations for restaurants.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to live in a convenient location in a modern, spacious flat, rather than a crummy or overpriced one in the middle of all the tourist spots closer to the sea.
