Fantastic 1 bed apartment in awesome, central part of Cape Town, where the city meets the suburb of Gardens. The view is marvelous looking out onto Table Mountain (you can even see the cable cars going up and down!) from large lounge & bedroom windows or the sunny balcony. Walking distance to popular Long, Bree and Kloof St and easy access to many CT attractions! Truth, voted best coffee shop in the world 2 years running, is a 2 minute walk away. Great for couples, business or solo travelers.

The space

The building, an old material processing factory, was converted into an apartment block in 2005. This part of town has a history of material and carpet shops.

You enter into the open plan living space, where the large windows provide a beautiful 180 degree view of Table Mountain and opens onto a sunny balcony. The well furnished lounge is a space in which to relax after long days of exploring the city or mountain. The kitchen dining space has all you need to prepare your own meals or french press coffee before you head out the door.

The one bedroom comfortably sleeps 2 people in a queen size bed. It has built in cupboard space and an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath.

A safe and secure, allocated basement parking bay in the building
Use of the swimming pool on the roof top.

Water restrictions:
Due to severe water restrictions and the current drought in Cape Town, use of the pool may be restricted

Guest access

The apartment is on the 5th floor of a secure apartment block (lift access).

Parking is in the building basement and allows direct access into the building.

Guests will be given their own set of keys and have the apartment to themselves.

Interaction with guests

I do not live on the property, but am nearby and you can get in touch with me at any point during your stay. If you need something fixed, want to book a tour, require an airport transfer or would just like some local tips, feel free to contact me!

Other things to note

Cape Town (and South Africa) is in the depths of a severe drought. Please be cautious and conservative with water use.

Some small things that each individual can do to help:
-Keep Showers as short as possible.
-Turn off the taps when not actually using the water (ie while brushing teeth, shaving, soaping up, washing hair or dishes.)
-While heating up the water, collect excess in a bucket/bowl and use for cleaning.
-Make sure you put a full load into the washing machine and dishwasher before starting a wash cycle.

For more information:

No TV or DSTV - but in the perfect location to explore all Cape Town has to offer, the won't be much room for TV.

There is no aircon but there is a fan to keep you cool in the summer months.

For stays longer than a week, a courtesy weekly or midstay clean is offered. We can arrange additional cleaning or laundry services upon request and at an additional cost, if required.

Linen, towels, tea, coffee, sugar are provided.

The view of Table Mountain is spectacular. There is a world famous coffee shop and Italian restaurant just around the corner. The Gardens Shopping Centre is within walking distance as is the Company Gardens, Long and Kloof Street, Castle, Green Market Square, St. George's Cathedral, museums, etc. It is best not to walk alone at night. I would definitely stay here again!

I had a great stay at Chregan's place. The view of Table Mountain is amazing - and just as it looks in the photos of the listing. Check-in was prompt and helpful with some great recommendations for places to eat/ drink nearby. The apartment was clean and in a secure building. This a great place to stay in the city centre area.

This was a lovely apartment to stay in and much larger than it looked in the images. The decor is stunningly done. I loved the blue single seaters and the images. Sitting with a cup of coffee watching the whole mountain was mesmerising. One other highlight was the wifi and the lovely towels- the type you would expect in a 5 star hotel. I will certainly stay here again.
