Interaction with guests
We welcome fellow travelers to share stories and to ask about local events, sites and attractions. We mostly like doing this over food and drinks!! It means sharing a glass of wine, freshly brewed coffee or a range of tea options with a snack.
Other things to note
We have a cat "Millie' who keeps to herself, mostly outside sleeping, as you do if you're a cat!! We also keep an Urban Hum bee hive on the roof of the garage. And garden produces herbs and seasonal veggies.
No loud noise, parties or smoking
We are a recently retired couple who live in a lovingly restored Federation home two blocks from Merewether Beach in Newcastle. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing travel stories. We've traveled a lot over the past 40 years and believe its a great way to meet people and to build understanding and tolerance. Our interests include cycling, swimming, reading, cinema, ukuleles and varied cultural events. We know Newcastle and the Hunter Valley well and are happy to advise visitors about places to see and things to do.
